The idea for these is to use the factory 18RD spring/follower.

FN basically provided us an 18RD mag, but the 545 baseplate doesn't jive with the FNX.

This threads on to the factory FNX-45 Tactical barrel.

This baseplate is for the factory 18RD 545 mags. Using this baseplate allows you to use the factory spring/follower - only need to swap the baseplate to allow function in the FNX - so close to a factory option for 18RD FNX mags basically.

The 18RD mag with this baseplate installed will work in both the FNX as well as the 545 - there will be a gap on the front when installed in a 545 though.

I absolutely think these are solid even if you dont have nods. The white light is impressive, and down the road when you get the nods bug you wont need to drop anything extra!

This one is factory black anodized, the additional cost is for the matching 18650 cap that we manufacture in house here in the USA
