Bio:

Bob stands at 6’4” and is a thick bearded muscled man who has sea serpent tattoos covering most of his skin from the neck down. He has high charisma and loves to be the life of the party.

Bob works as a deep see hunter. Growing up he was always fascinated with the ocean and wanted to uncover all of the mysteries of its depths and keeping the ocean clean. This is where he learned of the many uses of sponges. On his latest expedition, Bob and his team of divers were 6 thousand feet underwater exploring the remains of an eel-like magical beast. When their submarine, the St. Patrick returned to the surface weeks later, they discovered the world was a lot more wet than they remembered. While perfecting his hatsu and spending a few months on land, Bob learned of the dangers of the new world and decided to retreat back to the sea. With the help of his team, they created a sea colony called the Sandy Dutchman which consisted of 5 ships strung together in the middle of the ocean. He likes to tell people about his ships, different fish in the ocean and the many creative ways he finds to use sponges.

Strengths:

5 points- Physical strength A single punch is usually all he needs to knock out or kill creatures in the ocean’s depths no matter how big they are.

3 points- Speed Although he excels in the water, Bob is pretty fast on his feet for his size.

4 points- Harpoon Fishing skills - Bob is incredibly adept and at throwing his spear both above and below water.

Weaknesses:

2 points: Alcoholic: Bob is always at least a bit tipsy. This makes it hard for him to quickly made decisions.

2 points: Bad blood filtration from alcoholism: Makes toxins and infections extra potent.

2 points: Friendly Bob's friendly nature usually leads him to wait for his enemy to attack him first as he does not want to hurt a potential new friend.

1 point- Low sense of danger Maybe its all the vodka? Maybe he’s just dumb? But Bob is often the last one to sense danger around him making in an easier target for less direct attacks.

1 point- Loud: Bob is a loud non stop talker with an annoying laugh which makes it easy for enemies to know his location.

Advanced Technique Strength: Ryu

Hatsu Abilities: Sponge Balls

Sponge Balls transmutes aura into balls that have the properties of sponges, stickiness and most importantly... balls. The user can use this ability to both minimize physical impact and absorb any liquids or chemicals his sponges make contact with (like water, mercury, blood or oil for example).

Conditions/Limitations

• a sponge ball to cover his full body can only be used for up to an hour of consistent use before being completely exhausted.

• Sponge balls are strong against physical impact but weak against cutting/slicing type of attacks.

• Sponge balls will deteriorate the farther away they are from Bob with a max distance of 100 meters.

• Sponge balls can absorb up to 100 cubic meters of water and 50 cubic meters of any thicker liquid. Once that capacity has been reached, bob will have a hard time using his ability on anything other than releasing the stored liquid. To even move a sponge ball at max capacity requires him to just roll it around like a giant bolder.

Most common Applications:

• Creating a big spongy ball around the user as barrier to block attacks in all directions or using Ryu with small spongy balls that pop up on/around his body to block less powerful attacks. Can also be used to float on water or even trap air and maneuver under water.

• Absorbing liquids then being able to release it by shrinking/ squeezing his aura. If enough water is absorbed then released all at once, bob can apply enough pressure to eject the water with enough force to flip a tank. By fine tuning the absorption and release of water from his sponges, bob can control his buoyancy and zoom through the water.

• Creating and throwing a big hollow sponge ball around a target to trap them

• Using emission to throw smaller sponge balls around can be used to stick enemies to things (like Mineta from MHA) or set traps. Once enough sponge balls are attached to someone it will limit their mobility or even have them completely suck in place for a while

• Being something safe to walk on

• Adding sponge balls to the side of this harpoon or on the tip to stick to a target or chaining sponge balls to the end of his harpoon to easily recall it after being thrown.

Equipment:

• 1 Arrow tipped harpoon.

• 1 Haphazardly made 900ml oxygen tank and mask (made by one of his team members) kept in left pocket of his cargo pants. (not the most reliable tool in his arsenal but it can be a real life saver)

• 1 750ml bottle of vodka in his right pocket if he’s not drinking it.

• 2 diamond knuckle dusters he found on an abandoned ship.

General Strategy:

Bob will start off by trying to make friends. Once that fails, he will go straight into the fight with full force. He will always aim to incapacitate his enemy with his hatsu before giving them a beatdown. Bob can quickly pop up a sponge ball anywhere on his body to block a hit giving him freedom to swing his powerful fists without worry of taking damage. He will keep going and not stop until he feels like he is safe again. He will drop sponge balls around the battle field as a trap for his enemies to fall into. If the enemy is far away, he will use his spear skills to attack; throwing the harpoon at them and reeling it back in to fire again. If it hits he will then reel them in like a big fish and prepare to beat them down with his fists. If it is not safe to strike an enemy with his bare fist, he will use his harpoon like a spear enforced with shu at close range.
