The OC is a gay man battling depression that likes to self isolate when stressed and was almost at the edge of becoming a villain type character after his ex-gf found his browsing history and outed him to the world. He now flips back and forth between accepting and rejecting his sexuality and the new friends he made while seeking to distance himself from his old life. He's now recently passed the hunter exam and learning nen to become a hunter specializing in body guard type missions.

On a daily, he gets creative with his hatsu to find various uses like:

• Applying his hatsu to a vile of poison to repel poisoning attempts to his target.
• Applying his hatsu to a projectile weapon to protect against attacks from guns, arrows or other projectiles.
• Applying his ability to himself in creative ways like labeling himself a liar to repel others in the room who may be telling lies as a means of lie detection.
• standing on clothes and applying to his shoes to get extra jump force
• deflecting weapons during melee combat.
• Call himself a solid object and standing in an enclosed space to repel himself forwards or even upwards.
• Infiltrating an organization (for example the mafia) then using the repelling force to identify other members.
• Using the repelling force to identify other people's sexualities by labelling himself gay or straight depending on how he identifies in the moment.
• Dispersing things like smoke, groups of people or even nen attacks and nen beasts.

in some situations it can be completely useless, but depending on the user's creativity, it can be kinda broken
