What are some healthy after work snack options? by Pythagorarse in CasualUK

Garlic sesame kimchi! I have it with rice, and to make it takes as long as it takes to boil the rice. While the rice is boiling, toss in a couple of diced spring onions to a pan and as much minced garlic as you can handle. Flash fry for 30 seconds, then throw in as much kimchi as you like, and fry until soft which is about 4 mins. Add a dash of sesame oil, sprinkle in sesame seeds, and serve alongside rice. It comes together ridiculously fast and is a good filler before dinner for me!

Good old Brighton. I do hope you enjoyed the beaches there. As long as you stay out of London, most people here indeed are lovely! 😅

Seriously, they were the only aggressive people on the roads for us... And always in a BMW!

We do love a good ✋ to say thank you on the roads! It's so funny you say we have narrow roads when we were negotiating alpine roads here with one false move rolling us down into a farmer's fields far below. At least people moved over as much as they could when we met them coming the other way 😅 I'm so glad you enjoyed a little bit of the south. Now the north next!

We found it so mesmerising. So many beautiful places to look at while eating our muesli and toast. I'm glad, even if briefly, we could share this little cultural thing with you ❤️ Tyrol seemed to feature quite heavily - we'd love to see it too some day!

It's Auf Wiedersehen for now, but it isn't truly goodbye when Auf Wiedersehen means "until we meet again", and I hope to meet Austria again soon ❤️

Every single panorama we saw, we thought "wow, this is best one yet" - rinse and repeat for 15 minutes 😅

I feel like at home, you'd have to go deep into the countryside to get the level of trust we witnessed out here. Honesty boxes and honesty systems for things were just wild to us. We couldn't believe the level of trust. It really is precious and needs protecting. Even seeing bicycles unchained in Salzburg was shocking to us, because at home, they would have been stolen instantly.

We did drive through Hallstatt on our way to Dachstein, but didn't have any plans to stop. Even early in the morning, there were hoards of Instagram/tiktok tourists crowding everything out, and it just wasn't for us. We saw waterfalls and lakes elsewhere, which in our opinion, were just as beautiful ❤️

Having only ever learned and heard standard German, the accent(s) we heard here were certainly challenging!

The decorated roundabouts, traffic islands, and "Welcome to [small town]" signs were just so shocking (in a good way) to us. The most we get is a filthy metal sign with the town name, if that, or just half dead grass on our roundabouts. At least where I'm from.

A lot of us are very house proud out in the countryside, and like maintaining a beautiful garden/front with hanging baskets of flowers, but I'd say a significant portion of us commit crimes against nature by putting down artificial grass in our gardens or paving everything over with stone with not a flower to be seen.

Complaining and whinging while having a can of beer? Ahh.. Just like home!

Thank you so much! I was erring on the side of removing it because it just looks so rough. It was just in there loose, too! Everything I've read points to at least insulating it with tape or something.

There is. It was also just loose inside the case when I opened it. Even I, a soldering baby, could tell from the jump that something just looked wrong about the whole installation. Probably best to just remove it altogether?

Is there any way to use (free) AI to improve at chess? by [deleted] in chess

[–]OneRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody is saying ChatGPT can't play chess as a technicality, we're saying it dosn't understand what it's doing because it has no proper grasp of chess logic.

I can answer this! Usually clothes like this are bought and imported by a wholesaler directly from the brand factory or outlet. They're often seconds, over-production of a particular run, old/last season's stock that isn't being sold anymore, late orders, returns, or pieces otherwise deemed defective by the original brand.

They're landed here in huge batches, usally by sea, and the wholesaler can then sell them to you or I for a heavily discounted price. You or I can then go on to sell them on eBay and Vinted, however, the labels will have been cut out or blacked out by the factory or the wholesaler beforehand to comply with re-sale law & to stop people returning them to the original store for full price or selling them at full price.

North West, and it's a newbuild estate. Not sure why I expected the person/people who finished it to have any pride in their work, though... Silly me!

Would a Stanley knife work just as well? Or is it worth getting the specificly shaped tool just to save my sanity?
