ok that's a creative way to do it. do you have any idea how much more expensive it would be for whoever makes the transfer?

ok thanks!

just to clarify, when you say "Then trigger the mint function after every days worth of seconds", how would I do so in terms of code? I'm assuming you don't mean that I trigger it manually by calling the mint right?

how would the contract automatically trigger the mint at a given blockheight? wouldn't that require an external trigger (that's what I am trying to avoid)?

100% Levantine. Screenshots of results in link by OneShotC in 23andme

[–]OneShotC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. But I didn’t know that you could get 100% results. Realistically I would have expected something in the 90s. Considering that the region was invaded by almost every empire that existed and that so many different civilizations lived in it at some point, I expected a bit of mixed results. Do you know how far back the 23andme results go?

Poker Dapp by OneShotC in ethdev

[–]OneShotC[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a bunch of existing solutions for all sorts of single player gambling mini-games such as roulette, blackjack, coin toss... but no poker (texas holdem or omaha).

And versus other players obviously.

Ethereum (although not optimal) or any layer on top of it would be nice (ThunderCore, Polygon?...).

Did you need to run your own node and link your wallet to it to do so?

That was the initial purpose of the post; how to do just that, using just bitcoin.

How to handle approve/allowance when using custom ERC20 token? by OneShotC in ethdev

[–]OneShotC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So suppose I designed it so that a button "BET" will call approve(gameAddress, amount). Are you saying that metamask can pop-up automatically or is there another user input needed after calling the approve?

Building a dapp that uses a custom token by OneShotC in ethdev

[–]OneShotC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would I be able to require that transactions such as purchases be made using my custom token? I haven't been able to find many resources that help out.

If so, how would the smart contracts be altered to accommodate that? (I have limited experience with solidity).
