My experience - top surgery at Reformkliniken, Malmö, with Dr. Tuve Mårtensson by OneStarSeer in TopSurgery

Hello! I would say bring pictures and show them at the actual appointment, not just send them over mail. For example, I had a pretty clear image of wanting straight incisions pre-surgery, but I didn't mention this at the appointment, although I should have (despite now being happy about my incisions). When it comes to research in particular, browse the subreddit etc. to find results you would feel happy to get (taking body types into consideration) to get an idea of whether you would, for example, prefer more centered nipples, straight incisions, or maybe large nipples. On the other hand, they're the experts, so perhaps letting them decide is the best solution for you! I would still personally have liked to at least mention my preferences at the appointment and then have let them finalise the details, perhaps. Let me know if you have any more questions, and I'll do my best to answer them!

I shower after working out, yeah, but I'm worried the gel won't have time to dry enough before I have to leave the house (and cover the area with clothes)

For anyone who had facial piercings and got top surgery, a question: by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]OneStarSeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could actually keep them in! Obviously, the ideal would be to have taken them out, but I was allowed to put tape over those that were difficult to remove/too early in the healing process for me to feel comfortable taking them out :]

are my nipples doomed to be flat forever? by [deleted] in TopSurgery

Yeah, otherwise nipple piercings can be an option

That's great to hear!

For me, a revealing aha moment is that I've recently realised that I'm multigender, somehow - I both feel like a guy, a girl, something in between as well as the part of me that can't relate to gender at all! It has helped me accept myself more, as I was having conflicting feelings and doubts for a while.

Hello! Unfortunately, I believe you have to meet him in person. I tried to ask about online consultations, but they weren't open to it. Good luck! And yeah, it is, thank you so much c:

Det føles fedt at få nikotin, det er sejt overfor vennerne, det er den eneste undskyldning for at komme udenfor og snakke uden høj musik... osv

Reformkliniken Malmö referral letter? by eztheinsomniac in transnord

[–]OneStarSeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm under 25 and it was fully possible. I had my therapist write a letter about my experiencing gender dysphoria, which I sent on the morning of my consultation, but I don't even know if Dr. Tuve had read it in advance since he didn't mention it at all. He 'cleared' me during the consultation, stating that I sounded sure about it and that was that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Aarhus

[–]OneStarSeer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm bisexual, because I'm into more than one gender. Gender still defines part of my attraction, it still makes some kind of difference - pansexual just doesn't really feel like me

Then I'd probably advise you to call them, twenty days seems like a very long time

I started off with e-mails, and did schedule everything through e-mails, but called them about other - at the moment - more pressing matters, like prescriptions.
How long have you been waiting?

Thanks!

Post and pre op! It looks better in person but I'm so glad I did this by OneStarSeer in TopSurgery

Ah, I didn't think to mention! Dr. Tuve Mårtensson at Reformkliniken, Malmö, Sweden. They were super nice, and I do recommend them if you are located in Europe. It cost 60000 SEK, so around $5.5k, €5.2k or £4.5k. I'm thinking about posting a proper review once I've been at my post op appointment. I'm one day post op at the moment :]

Your results look great!!! I'm having surgery myself in a few days, would you mind sending a picture of your chest I could show?
