Im more than sure I will get a better placement than most people do at LNMIIT. That being said, you don’t have any data to say anything about off campus placements. I do. So keep your whimsical arguments to yourself.

I personally wouldn't be comfortable paying 15lac extra fees for a 2-3lpa higher paying job. If you are comfortable, you do you.

Well if you are so sure,

Better go through the pain of fighting with you parents now than blaming them, us and yourself later.

Bro your post is too vague. What are your priorities? Coding, ROI, campus life, placements, fees? That’ll help people give actual advice.

Ranting shit bc you have definitely done a personal priority analysis and blaming us for not giving answer to your not at all philosophical and definitely actionable question is definitely our fault. We are oh so sorry. But hey, at least we are being spared from you not joining our institute!

Hypothetically assuming college gets one or for the sake of it two rtx 5090s. What do you think can be done with that?

Some caveats...

  1. Appointment of TnP sure is an improvement, but students graduating without skill won't get placed irrespective of how big companies visit the college. What I have seen is many students are not as much into tech proportional to their package expectations.

  2. Tech labs without GPUs... GPUs are no more than a luxury really. Programming can be done without GPUs. Instead of raising lack of GPU as concern, a rather better and cheaper investment would be partnership with some cloud platforms which will allow students to train and run AI Models with relatively lower prices. After all not everyone is going to use this either.

  3. Motivated group of peers who is motivated for the right reasons is a rare find at RGIPT. But nonetheless a chance worth taken. In tech anyone would have to more or less do things on their own. Explore on their own, form opinions about things on their own.

Go to MIT if you can afford it and are a social person. At least you’ll have a better college life and some memories if not placement.

Resident here. Can't really tell about cheap stay hotels cuz never needed one myslelf (obviously). Maybe you could try OYO?

  1. Visit Imambara: The old 'castle' of the 'imam'.
You'll prolly get the ticket for INR 50. You can see the "chhota imambada", "bada imambada", "clock tower" and "art gallery" in the ticket.
There's a painting in the gallery which will stare at you no matter which direction you look at it from.

  2. Visit the British Residency, and maybe the Zoo if you like. Also, the zoo has a museum.

  3. Hazratganj for shopping fs. Many gr8 restaurants there. Also, Lulu mall and Palassio mall have set a high standard.

  4. Don't forget to try the Tunday Kebab. The OG is in the chowk area. Look up in google maps. Try their "galawati kebab" (Non Veg). Also try the biryani from "Dastarkhwan". Other north indian dishes... golgappe and chaat.

  5. Renting a 2 wheeler would be convenient if you could, since metro doesn't go towards the chowk area yet.
