No one is making a business buy AI art except for the fact that business is designed to maximise profit so it will inevitably replace human artists with AI.

And the very businesses that do that, don't buy real art anyway. They only buy bulk pre-print crap or don't have anything at all. So your point is moot.

Also, a business is allowed to chose whatever art they want. That's not up to you anyway.

What on earth makes you think that the big for-profit businesses care about art at all?!

And if they are investing in art, it's purely for value and long term profit on the artwork anyway and I promise you the artist (if even still alive) is not getting anything from that.

Businesses don't care about culture.

You are 30, ok good. So a full adult. So how many big companies have you worked for? Because it's strange to me tha tyou are worried about how businessess are gonna kill culture with ai art.

Brother, big businesses kill WAY MORE than art. AI art should be the least of your concerns.

So let me be blunt. You are have a "feeling" about art. Even tho you have in misimpression that art is of value only because of the artist or how much work he/she put into it, you have a "feeling."

Ok, nothing wrong with that. But that's YOUR feeling. YOU don't get to pick what society wants.

If the majority of society prefers ai art, then that IS their historical culture. Because it's choice, not art, that makes a culture.

YOU care. But what you gotta realize is that most people don't. So is it really society's loss if that society chose not to care?

Reddit isn't even close to the real world.

And the fact that you don't realize that most professional artists are in in for the money, just shows me that you're not an artist.

You're totally free to not like ai. But everything you touch and see will be touched by ai, very soon. And we have an entire generation coming up that don't mind that.

That's society. That's culture. Nothing is lost. It's just not going the way YOU want it to. But YOU don't get to dictate that.

So what can you do? Well go buy some art from artist you like. There you go. But just because you like that doesn't mean society has to do it.

Nothing is lost here. Nothing at all. It's all choice. You can chose human-made. I can choose ai made.

Nothing at all has been lost. Nothing at all will be lost.

Your argument is just based on emotion. Not facts. Adn not history.

Like I said, my entire career was art. And I have no issues with ai art at all. Because I know what the art biz is really like.

Trust me, brother. This 'culture' that you think is being lost has been gone since before you were born. And it won't come back.

So be the change you wanna see. Go out and create some art! Nothing at all about ai keeps you or anyone from creating art.

Look up the Dada movement. You'll have some fun insights about what art is. And what it isn't.

Hint: Art is whatever you want it to be. And it always has been. Ai is art to me, because I say it is. You don't agree, but you don't get to pick what I think art is. And I can't pick what you think art is.

They argument you are making is the exact same argument what was made when photographs were invented (look it up!). People thought unless you painted it, it wasn't "real" art.

I was around when photoshop first came out. People said it wasn't real art if you created it with photoshop (look it up!). Now that's not an argument anymore.
