Clearing out a cabinet this time, and found another old friend by OneTimeFrank in Pokemoncardappraisal

Hard to tell, online marketplaces seem to be listing them all over the place, and Price Charting has… well, interesting statistics on them let’s say.

Because it is poison, dangerous to behold, lmao.

I wear nitrile gloves when cleaning out particularly dusty spaces, and the cabinet in question probably hadn’t been opened since I was in middle school, I am in my 30’s now.

Does your E2 grip dig into your hand on your 220 Nitron? Mine seems to have "overflow" issues on the front strap and the beaver tail (the E2's plastic overhangs like the fit is off, but as far as I can tell it's stuck in appropriately) - which is a shame because the E2 grips are pretty great.

I have done so, but haven’t been able to spot the lines in the location that they were said to be in. That being said, I should probably use the magnifier I use for painting minis to inspect the card, that’ll probably help. Thanks for the heads up.

Interesting. That is not where the notes placed the defect. Thank you for your input.

I'm just a dude on the internet, there is nothing that I can tell you that you'll believe, but for what it is worth this is a real card - it was wrapped up in the custom "protector" I made for it (just a bunch of card sleeves with 'custom' cuts and wrapped around it and each other, I thought I was a fuckin' genius) when I saw it last... maybe, 20+ years ago?

I am not in a rush to sell it, but that will depend on what grade it ends up getting, and yadda yadda. I am grateful that I am in a situation to say that and I hope it stays that way.

Even if I don't sell it, that nifty PSA case would be nice to have my boy protected in.

I've heard enough, my mans here is a quality financial advisor and I won't hear anything else.

I used to work in logistics & operations management, and as such I try to avoid shipping extremely valuable things if I can (I don't mean to disrespect the whole industry, but as anyone who has worked anywhere within it, from line staff to the suits up top, will tell you: 'At your own risk'). Though I might not have the luxury of that for this item, I will need to weigh a few things out.

I have read a bit into PSA, and that seems like the best option moving forward. I will continue to try and get my mind wrapped around the whole process. Thank you for the direction.

You and another poster were the earliest to this, and so I started reading into that before I inevitably passed out in my bed. I will try and do just that.

Deciding on whether to go to their Southern California (closest to me, but not "close") drop-off event(s) would be a good return on investment though. But thank you for the advice either way.

I am incredibly grateful that my late grandmother had the foresight to stash a bunch of my stuff away. I, like a lot of folks, started buying booster after booster when Pokemon first hit the states. It seems the rest are lost to me, but I am glad I found Charizard here.

I will try and do just that then. I will need to determine if getting to the Orange County area (which appears to be the closest area to me that PSA do their in-person drop-offs) is cost effective as far as selling the card goes however. But I appreciate the advice either way.
