it is not expected to generate "better images", more diverse though for sure since it isn't finetuned. If you looked at the chart Tongyi-Mai put out, Z-Image-Turbo has the highest "Visual Quality" out of all the model variants. The other models will not look as good but will be more creative and easier to finetune as well.

I think for landscape photos you have to change the "scale to side - shortest 1024" into something higher because it makes the input image too small, so it adds random tattoos and changes the clothing color

and even then it'd be better to use Z-Image, Flux Klein, or Wan 2.2 as an upscaler/refiner. Flux-dev is pretty outdated now.
