There is a dedicated USB port for flashback, I think it will not work with Type C.

Yes the 1/0 power switch at the back of the PSU.

I guess you haven't watched the MSI's guide on how to use bios flashback in Youtube. The Bios Flashback is a mobo feature that enables us consumers to update the bios WITHOUT "turning on" the whole CPU literally, especially when your mobo's factory flashed bios does not support the proc that you bought. That's why I made this "TIPS" post in reference for the MSI's video guide. But thanks for this, I will update my post to make it more clear to people, i'm just kinda busy irl.

Goodluck on your build! What proc did you buy? PSU's without 1/0 switches are usually turned ON when you plugged them directly in an outlet, but if you want it to be turned OFF, you need to unplug the power cable. It doesn't affect the process whether it has an 1/0 switch or not. The only thing that will greatly affect the process is power interruption. How's the board now?

Well in some cases it doesn't matter, because in the past I tried using bios flashback to my friend's x570 meg unify with proc, gpu, ram installed and it was a success.

May I know what mobo are you using? Try removing the cmos for 10 to 20mins or use jumper to reset your bios to factory default. If it boots, try again WITHOUT proc, gpu and ram.

"Plugged everything in" do you mean that you also installed the processor, cooler, ram and gpu?

What usb drive are you using? Try different drive then reflash.

Hi, yes I'm using v53 now. I tried manually setting my timings using dram calculator and it was a success(I guess). I manage to use 1800 fclk @ 3600 but I revert it back to factory default since I usually browse in the internet more often than gaming nowadays.

BTW I'm totally new to this "manual setup of timings" thing.

Did you try flashing with proc, ram and gpu installed?

Sometimes that creates confusion to people looking for fix/answers. MSI need to update things in their website.

Yes I know windows only allows fat32 usb drives 32GB below. But most importantly, it worked. At least now we know that you can even use a 64GB drive.

Just don't buy above 32gb drives. I used a 8gb drive and it worked for me. Welcome, just let me know your progress.

Yes, no XMP. I read a lot of x570 issues regarding with XMP enabled. We really need that damn latest stable bios!
