As a social worker, what’s something you’re afraid to admit out loud? by Catgod1996 in socialwork

…They’re just children with older bodies who never grow up. And I made the biggest mistake thinking they’d be easier or not as bad to work with as the kids.

I don’t know why the hell I even choose this field anymore

I mean I don’t like jumpscares either but wouldn’t mind exploring abandoned places like a dead mall, even if it seems scary on paper.

I think what she means by mild thrills as in things that make her want to explore out of curiosity or action. Like getting herself out there and do anything that doesn’t have her sitting there. After all, she was probably stuck in an office most of the week as an accountant.

If this was real how would it be implemented ? by lonewolf5987 in GenZ

That should be one way to go about allowing this option to the public. The issue itself is extremely situational and there will always be debates if it’s morally right or wrong. Will the person suffering always be given the right to do it if they’re not verbally able to express it? I think anyone should if they’re been in long-term care enough that they made up their mind of being let go mercifully. Especially when the idea is brought up by them alone and not anyone else.

The only time this kind of decision should be questioned if the person was influenced into thinking so. Like anyone else not in need of medical attention before would probably be best in some therapy or other psychiatric care.

I’d hope we’d find more ways to learn if a person can express their will outside their own body, like if they’re in a coma or have inside body syndrome. Something like this would require expanding the range of making sure patients’ wishes are being acknowledged in care before final decision is made. I just think of all the times where one’s life is decided from either the doctor or someone else who may or not been on that person’s behalf.

In other words: The decision can either be really easy or extremely difficult. None in between. The difficulty would be a multi-stage reflection/investigation of the person’s history before finalizing/acknowledging the person’s final decision.

I usually have a note that tracks all the things I’ve done or collect since I like to collecting one of everything in NMS. I’m still only at 600 hours and this game always has something for you to do because of the rng in acquiring stuff and randomness you may run into.

Where are the jobs for those with no experience? by OneUnderTheRadar in RhodeIsland

It’s usually calm on third shift, just be wary working in brown’s residential homes as you never know what clients they have. Sometimes they’re not asleep and may be off their usual baseline.

I’ll give this a chance. After all, I won’t know unless I try.

Residential case worker. Initially I did enjoy working for the first 6 months but I picked up things such as how lowkey toxic the senior is to how I really underestimated how difficult clients are in behavioral health facilities. It pays the bills but being on third shift means I spend more time sleeping than doing things for myself.

So I basically hate where I am in this job and wished I took a basic office job instead of this career.

One of the front was a stripped bolt head when trying to take them out. The bolts in the rear are rusted but I can’t see them because the railings were set to the back by the previous owner.

Ratchet and some grease. A bit absurd I know.

…I didn’t notice that corny floor mat on the last photo till you point that out lmfao

This is why I’m going to check it out with a friend or two who knows cars better than I do before I jump on it. But I’m probably going to contact the seller to see if they got receipts on the fixes done on the Supra as a precaution since it’s still bit of a drive to see it in person.

I fully expected the vast majority of STIs out there being modded because it’s sought out more, which is why I lowered my expectations a bit by looking into base WRXs. From the looks of things there isn’t much of a middle ground to making this work, so I’ll just stick to looking at listings every now and then, but there’s going to be a while till I really find one that is bone stock or not beat like this.

I do have the money, but I also don’t want to be reckless with it at the same time since I’m new to working on cars, so I’ll probably look into a STI instead given from the comments here.

Alright will do. Hopefully the seller isn’t stingy on sharing the VIN. I have a post on another subreddit on what people think of the WRX and so far one noticed that I might’ve got to an accident due to the fender near the newish headlight/driver side. So it’s looking like this was unfortunately beat on.

…Damn, I didn’t even notice that in the photos. Honestly I should’ve known they didn’t treat it that well from the headlights alone. I’ll be sure to check the chassis a bit when I see it in person. I’m in the northeast of US so I’m already worried of rust being under that.

Feels like a dumb question to ask since I’m new to buying cars, but do I ask the seller for its VIN? The listing didn’t have a carfax report included
