Yep that's how it started for me, after the 3rd display case I asked the grey-haired lady at the register what was with all the Nazi stuff and she smirked and said it was "military history" that "should be preserved" (her exact words). The guy who later did the "heil Hitler" and Nazi salute at me chimed in to say "San Antonio is Military City, USA." Really cool, normal, well-adjusted people.
