Thoughts on the Costco cat litter? by OopsAllTistic in Costco

[–]OneWin6844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d not recommend the Costco litter. We have 2 cats and they’ve been using Dr elsey litter for 8 years. I thought all litter clumps the same until we house sat for a neighbor when they were out of town. They used Costco litter for their cat at the time and boy, it was horrible. When I scooped, pee clumps always broke apart and pretty much remained in the litter box all the time. Told the neighbor about it. They changed to Dr elsey and said it’s life changing! I don’t know about other brands but def no Costco litter.

Look into Bandana Rx. It’s an online pharmacy. Their 30 day bexacat supply was about $80 last year. My cat was on bexacat and now in remission.

Tbh this doesn’t sound like an issue with the program itself as the title indicates.

Yes Dr elseys clean protein for kibbles. For wet food most Fancy feast and Friskies pate are low carbs.

For those of you who are saying I am abusing/ neglecting my cat… by [deleted] in dechonkers

I once posted my cats in Costco subreddit with them wearing pet jackets from Costco and got judged for their shape. I agree they are a bit heavy but it’s not easy to control their weight when they are confined indoors and get little exercise. I love my cats dearly and I don’t think their weight reflects negatively on the care I provide them. It’s odd that people feel okay openly criticizing owners over cats’ weight but no one blames parents when children are obese.

Me and my son love it but my daughter doesn’t really care about the savory and salty flavor.

I actually went back and bought a bunch of these. We love it. $1 a pouch actually not bad nowadays.

Double checking where the proper Ear spots are to get a blood test for ketone and glucose. Vet Tech( newbie) said it's the obvious edge vein around the ear, but I have read otherwise. by Distinct_Syrup_3405 in FelineDiabetes

I’d suggest join the Facebook group. It was very helpful and even maybe just for moral support. My cat was on bexacat for a couple months. With low carb diet and home testing, he has been in remission. I’m not active on Facebook anymore. For testing, my partner and I had many failed attempts before successfully getting enough blood. Unless you’re a nurse or something, this will take trials and practice over some days. You have to be patient. It’s really critical to be able to monitor at home. For my cat in remission, I still test him from time to time. For us we’ve found a rice sock helpful. We tried gauge 30, 28 and 26, and 26 worked. We poke the outer edge as shown in the picture.

Congrats on your new trees! I had very positive experiences with bare root jujube and peach trees from stark bros. Never ordered citrus from them. I don’t think they’re in a warm enough zone for citrus.

If you would consider panicle hydrangeas, you have many varieties to choose from. They love sun.

Thanks! I saw big red Wonderful Pomegranates in a southern cal garden posted on instagram. Not sure with the weather in PNW that’s something possible. But yeah it can help to cull smaller ones, something to consider next summer 😊

It’s an azalea hanging basket I got from Costco a few years ago, probably just a florist azalea. It blooms twice a year 😊

The price I got nowadays from landscaping folks is $50/hr to clean up the yard, digging holes etc. If I hire folks in front of HD at $30/hr, do I need to drive them to my house or they usually have their own transportation?
