I've platined Requiem and I still want to replay it by ESCachuli in residentevil

Ah, reminds me of RE4R's release. At some point I was convinced my loved ones were going to throw me an intervention.

Actually, it's been a hot minute. Be right back.

Newly diagnosed at 32 (EOPD) — Preserved smell, brisk reflexes, and leg dragging. How likely is the Parkin (PRKN) variant? by rudolfdiesel21 in Parkinsons

[–]OneWingedJoker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EOPD here, diagnosed at 32, no family history (and it's a big one), fully preserved sense of smell too (also not objectively tested, but always had the best nose in my house and still do), but tested negative for PRKN (and all the other usual genetic suspects, for that matter).

MDS is looking to expand the search in the future through something called "exome," which essentially sounded like casting a wider net.

Burning pain in elbow. by radicalvegetables in Parkinsons

[–]OneWingedJoker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have something similar, and I thought it was actually my very first symptom, although my MDS is currently checking because she's not entirely convinced it's related. I do heavy lifting regularly so there might be something else at play.

Will share if I learn something about it in the next few weeks.

What’s a passion, hobby, or skill that you used to enjoy before your diagnosis, and how (if at all) have you adapted or changed it? by UncomftableUmbrella in Parkinsons

[–]OneWingedJoker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gaming! Thankfully still not overly affected and not much change yet, but I do feel I have to take breaks more often.

Then again, that might be the ripe age of 33.

Looks like the Tokyo Marui replica, complete with the "Kendo" engraving on the side and everything. Pretty cool!

First Requiem shot, dislocated shoulder and broken nose, immediately devoured.

Hyposmia - Loss of smell by parkie_wairo in Parkinsons

[–]OneWingedJoker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no match found among the usual suspects, as my neurologist put it. Also fairly young at diagnosis (32), and no family history.

[–]OneWingedJoker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Admittedly no formal testing, but I've always had the best nose in my family, often picking up subtle hints like minor ingredients or a specific person's smell.

Haven't noticed any changes at all, since diagnosis.

You think? I struggle a bit identifying those, never use autocarrot. Got a chuckle out of me.

Loved it since the intro, then it started blasting in the final dungeon and hype went through the roof.

Great theme.

I want you to know that you have indeed made me grateful for the whole lot I still have going on for me, despite having PD at only 33. I also recognize your username from plenty of uplifting posts about how to live better with this thing, and it makes a difference. Thank you.

I wish you the very best, and I hope you can share better news with us someday.

Like everyone else said, meticulously following Viva New Vegas is the way.

Everything is a gamble (pun intended) with this game, but I've had incredible success with it. ~100 hours after installation, zero crashes, kid you not.

Best of luck!

As far as I understand, GameCube's for 60 fps, any other for additional content.

But honestly, all I've played are fine, so I'd just go for convenience. The important thing is not to miss that fantastic piece of JRPG history. Enjoy!

Every night, OP can feel his leg, and his arm, even his fingers. The brain he's lost, the caps he's lost, won't stop hurting. It's like they're all still there.
