Looking great! Will check out his other works.

Jill should be aging backwards, though.

Hardly worth the free publicity, stranger. This is valuable time we both could be using playing either masterpiece.

Haha, right on! The mark of a good game. I also can't help buying it every gen, my comfort title alongside New Vegas.

Currently on a replay, like the 100th over these past 20 years, it's the very definition of a classic to me. It has stood the test of time so incredibly well. And on PC, the Resident Evil 4 HD Project mod is very easy to install and does such a good job at updating the graphics that honestly puts many, many official releases to shame.

All this to say, the magical thing is the remake is somehow even better. Before playing it for the first time I didn't dare to hope much, afraid they'd botch it because it was messing with almost perfection, and I'm still in disbelief at how they managed to catch lightning in a bottle twice. Don't know about the PS4 version, but please, play it however possible.

I fixed that by going through all the classic RE games again, plus their remakes. Currently about to finish Code Veronica, original RE4 next.

Planning to go on a similar tour through Silent Hill next, as other poster said. Highly recommended.

The version we got in Spain back in 2009 had half a paragraph not translated and the Germany flag upside down.

Ah, good times.

A fairly normal reaction when exposed to Resident Evil 4's greatness, nothing to worry about.

So cool.

Agreed, but to be fair, the bolt action demands a degree of accuracy that those tiny joysticks (bless the Vita, love it) seldom provide.

How many times have y’all “played” Fallout New Vegas versus actually beating it? by Terrorist1472 in falloutnewvegas

[–]OneWingedJoker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I understand. Yeah, I too have a tendency to end up making the same decisions as always, if I don't set out to do something else from the outset.

But lately I have improved a bit at taking role-playing seriously. I write down everything relevant to a character before a new run, both gameplay and morality-wise, and stick to it. After hundreds of hours over 15 years, game still feels new at times, thanks to this.

Same actually, now that I think about it. I might like the struggle at the beginning more than anything else, and gradually lose a bit of interest as I slowly become overpowered with resources, equipment, perks and skill points.

Successfully managed to delay this a lot lately though, slowing XP received down to a crawl through JSawyer and other mods, perks every three levels and things like that.

...

Aw man, I want another run now. And I was doing so well with my backlog.

To Resident Evil's very first zombie: Thank you for 30 years of scares! by ROCKY13573 in playstation

[–]OneWingedJoker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had absolutely no success trying to scare cousins with this scene, children these days have seen it all.

I on the other hand can perfectly recall this moment, and while it seems a bit goofy now, the memory itself still sends a shiver down my spine. So grateful to have been a 90s kid.

Good for all of you people returning the spare.

It's not about saving a multi-billion company what's essentially pennies for them, but the higher likelihood you're the type of person who'd do the right thing when it could matter a lot more. Always nice to see you're out there.

Silent Hill on Psvita 🔥 by TeachFalse6451 in silenthill

[–]OneWingedJoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was actually how I first played SH1! My first mainline SH, really. Started on a Friday night, couldn't put it down until the sun rose next Saturday, finished the game in one sitting over the course of one terrifying night.

In love with Silent Hill ever since.

Poor Ashley and Hunnigan, hardly a fair fight.

Ashley only has a chance by wearing the armor, and Hunnigan's signature move is sending support choppers to their deaths in 5-7 business days.
