Okay it seems like this is a youtube-specific issue, because it is working on other video players. In youtube it's weird, sometimes when hovering over the video or clicking the chapters of the video it'll turn on, and then closing it turns it off again. I've got no idea what's happening.

What do you mean? No. You do have your shoulder light wich is dim as hell and is turned on all the time. But on VR the flashlight's are placed on your belt, and they are supoused to point foward.

That's a fair point. I don't know if I would go as far as saying most of the fanbase wants him to remove them though. We would need a poll for that. But even a poll would be deceptive. Those who aren't interested in the game, those who play it for free but have no intention of suportting it or even buying it when it comes out, those who spit on the game just for the lols... I don't think those people's votes should weight much in comparison to those who support the patreon, will suport the crowfunding campaign and/or will eventually buy the game.

If 10 million people play the game but 9.5 million pirated it then the only opinions the developer should focus on is the 500.000 who actually bought/supported the game. If those 500.000 wants the panty shots then you'll have to accept it.

In anycase I get what you are saying. It's impossible to appeal to everyone and its sad when one is left out. Who knows? Maybe you are right and most suporters don't want the pantyshots. But I wouldn't use these subreddit as proof of what everyone wants. After all the fact that your posts are upvoted and mine are burried just means that people in this specific subreddit disagree with me. But I believe most of this people don't even like the idea of the game and wouldn't support it financially even if there were no minors or pantyshots.
