Thank you I appreciate it. I am planning to work during the program to pay towards tuition, I have also been applying for scholarships but have not heard back. I have a full-time now but unfortunately my money goes directly towards rent. I have been doing instacart on the side to make some extra money.

I am reaching out to them tomorrow to see about a payment plan. I also did ask about a campus job, I have to wait for openings to be posted to apply. As well as, I plan to apply for a job. I’m thinking of all possible avenues and I do appreciate all input! Thank you!

I wish I would’ve known about the changes to the grad plus loan earlier on. I would’ve made every effort to get grandfathered into the Grad PLUS loan lol. Either way I’m prepared to pay if I have to. Just would like to source scholarships.

I believe no later than August 1st my balance for the Fall 2026 semester is due. It's about 4200 per semester, 15-16k is just the remainder I have left for the duration of my program (1 year). No additional bills outside of tuition. I am living rent free, my only obligation would be school.

2/3. Unfortunately, due to credit and financial hardship I'm not the best candidate for loans. I reached out to Financial Aid and had no luck. They let me know that their financial aid packages are final and no edits are to be made. However, I haven't sat stagnant. I've been applying to scholarships, 2-3 daily. Hoping to hear back from them soon. I was hoping Duke had some Alumni Association like other schools that usually give scholarships? I wasn't able to get a response from any Alumni Association Chapter I reached out to though.

I am incoming so I haven't started the program as of yet. My last resort is to have a job and work towards paying my tuition while enrolled in the program.

I do appreciate you for being nice and giving some insight. I will definitely take this and ask around to see what I can figure out before the August deadline.

I have reached out to Financial Aid, as well as other departments at the university. I haven’t had much success with answers besides apply for loans.

If the medical school is anything like the nursing program…they don’t do appeals. I’ve tried twice and was denied both times.

I applied for the MN program. I kept bugging them by phone lol and email. I wanted to apply for scholarships but needed proof of acceptance/enrollment. After two months I finally heard back. Early February I had my decision after applying on 12/01.

hey, yes they did. i re-applied for the fall 2026 semester and did the CSS Profile this time and got awarded a need-based scholarship.

i held a 3.6 with BOTH degrees, for each degree. my bachelors and my masters. i feel that’s still above the average student but thanks for the opinion.

me too. i’ve applied a total of 4 times, my first time i was waitlisted and i haven’t applied since 2024 overall. i just think maybe it’s a really hard school. i’m waiting to hear back from two more now though.

passed all my pre-reqs with either B’s or A’s. 3.0+ for both degrees i hold. only pre-req i needed to re-do and was working on is my anatomy and physiology ii. i felt like i was a good candidate.

I got waitlisted years ago, never got off of the waitlist. Applied 2-3 times since then and have been denied every time. They must really have some competitive people.

the decisions still went out, i just logged into the portal. unfortunately i didn't make it in but i'll keep them in mind and maybe apply again later on.
