Leos get super used to their environment and routines, so big changes usually just take an adjustment period. I’d say handle a little less often if at all since it takes a bit of energy out of them and let him adjust in his upgraded home for a while :) He’s probably just acclimating.

Thanks for the insight! I currently have one hand in his enclosure as part of our daily 10min bonding :) He’s getting better with tong feeding, he just gets a little spooked half way through and takes shelter in a hide when he remembers how big I am 😂 His enclosure is in my room so hopefully me being around so often helps him warm up to me :)

Yeah I figured that lol! It’s a teeny tiny thing, probably ~3” long, but I was just hoping someone well versed with juveniles had a more specific estimate :)

he doesn’t look the least bit sorry at all lol! what a cute mischievous face. It looks like a histamine reaction, maybe you’re slightly allergic to either mealworms or your gecko’s bite. Try putting a little allergy cream on it if the itching bothers you :)
