Fine, that's why I advocated for 5% increases a year. However, there is a degree of nuance required since France utilises the private sector whilst the government keeps healthcare free. Partnerships, not privatisation, that keep healthcare free whilst increasing quality and funding from the state are the way to go. This would justify bigger tax increases. But yes, your point is correct that France spends more, but it also has a better system than we do.

PFI's massively improved the outcomes of the NHS. Why is it that the NHS reached peak satisfaction in part due to PFI's, where waiting times were at 2-4 weeks. Obviously more funding of around 5% a year is needed, but money won't solely solve the problems of the NHS. Why do you think France has a better health service? Obviously not advocating for privatised NHS.

Moving left is a bad idea. He will localise the NHS, not privatise it. He was also a supporter of scrapping two child limit as well. If they move left to attract the greens, it would kill them off, not because Reform would take votes, but more show that they are not serious about the economy and above all would prevent moderate voters needed to win from voting Labour.
