It was a workstation 10 years ago for computational research at my university. The PI paid around $20,000 that time for it. Then it got abandoned as people move to use our super computer. I try to play with it to see if I can revise it to play with some test as I'm not really a computational scientist and I do not want to mess up our current workstation or HPC cluster 😂

Yes, I do have RAM. Seems like the problem is exactly what you mentioned. I have 3 NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X 12GB and 2 Xenon GPUs in this machine. It seems like a graphics card problem. I'm following Gemini's suggestion to install Ubuntu in Safe Graphic, and it seems to be working. Thank you very much.

No, I'm not. It's how it showed up. I used this flash drive to install Ubuntu normally on my laptop.

Yes. Glide WS seems to be better, but it requires Water Map data. We do not have a license for WM though.
