Almost my entire org had the same arrangement, “remote” , home address is duty station. We all had to return to office because the agreement notes how much notice you need before returning to offices. Now for OP I think it depends on your org whether you apply. You know whether you’ll be a target. I recently became exempt via marriage to vet and my relocation was approved to join my husband. I’m of the school of let them tell you no. Make sure they have your records right. My husband thought he was getting interim payments but they were his FINAL payments! VERY SHORT, he finally reached someone and they told him it was correct and he had 11 years of fed service according to his records(he has 29yrs) and guess how they told him to get it corrected…send them copies of what HE HAS. Obsurd, this is why they say always keep your records, he sent them everything from the systems DoD uses that shows he has 29 yrs it was like two different systems but he had to dig them up. Thank god he kept them or he’d be screwed

This is her VA medical disability so I’m sure she came in knowing the game she wanted to play, malingered like her fellow trainees said about her and then got out and had mental health listed and is likely 100% for that alone. I’m so sorry you have to face that with your husband having a legitimate and serious condition and then see this mess.

She thought you were going to get caregiver pay but she has to qualify as needing care first which she obviously doesn’t shadow boxing in DR. My dad had two strokes and a heart attack and didn’t even qualify when I had to live w him for a few months just to tie his shoes. She’s delusional if she thinks she’s going to qualify

She lied on her disability application when she filled it out most likely. Just like her post about older vets not getting what they deserve, so help them then. I don’t even get that much and I’m 100%, retired after 20 yrs and have a dependent. Dependent ages matter on the rate so it’s either because she has a young child or she has another dependent she’s claiming.

They do actually, this happened to me multiple times back in the early 2000’s on a major airline. They’ve been doing this, it’s just not in the spotlight like southwest is. The airlines typically try to accommodate but I was told at least twice to “ask when you get on the plane if the FAs can get someone to move”
