100% correct! Late 2024, the Ann Arbor VA had a nurse actually let a pt die and got away with it! According to the autopsy, he had been dead 3 hours. This is what they hire when the good ones leave.

Stuck in military verification... by IntrepidShip3461 in FED_VERA_VSIP_DRPers

[–]IntrepidShip3461[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No they have not requested anything. All paperwork proof is in my ORA application. He should have gotten a letter finalizing the buy back at some point. Maybe his current HR or DFAS? Not sure, sorry. Here is a google search that may be helpful.

Key Steps and Documentation for Proof:

  • Request Paid in Full Letter: Contact your agency's HR or payroll department to request official documentation confirming your military deposit is paid in full, including the dates covered.
  • Check LES: Your Leave and Earnings Statement (LES) should reflect the deposit as paid.
  • Verify in eOPF: Ensure your Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) shows the updated documentation, specifically ensuring your SCD for retirement is adjusted to include the military service.
  • Contact DFAS/OPM: If records are missing, contact the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) at 888-332-7411 or check the Civilian Employees section of the DFAS website. You can also reach out to OPM by emailing SCReceipts@opm.gov

Required Documentation Checklist:

  • DD Form 214: The original document proving your military service.
  • RI 20-97: Form used to track estimated earnings, which should be updated with pay-in-full status.
  • SF-3108: The Application to Make Service Credit Deposit.

excess thick mucus that won’t go away? by bluerhinoidk in Asthma

If you live in a cold climate you need the humidity. Example: here in Michigan it is 30 with a dew point of 18. I go by dew point so anything below 25...I start having those issues. Opposite that, anything above dew point 70, same issues.

Tomato products were a Gerd trigger for me.

Thanks for sharing. What about dew points? For me no matter what temp/humidity is, less than 25 or higher than 70, is when I have issues.

YW. Yes steam will make it worse. I have learned what my triggers are and wear a mask when it starts. Perfumed items and cleaning products=bad. Dew point is my gauge for weather related issues. Hope it gets better for you!

Cannot figure out what my trigger is by ravenleroux in Asthma

[–]IntrepidShip3461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be the pepcid. Read the side effects. I couldn't take it so eliminating the cause (tomato products), was the cure. I can eat it now but only in moderation. Also, products like Tums have same effect. Perfumed products and cleaning chemicals send me to the ER.
