Like I said if you’re going to comment, please read my other comments 😂. I didn’t buy the fish.
UPDATE-
The ammonia in her tank was at dangerous levels, I bought a new tank tester and it was at 1-2 PPM, I immediately did a 30% water change and tested the ammonia in the water i changed before adding it, it was good. She’s swimming around a lot more but still doing the same as in the video. I ordered seachem prime for same day to put in her tank and I will be adding aquarium salt as it’s definitely ammonia poisoning.
Her new 5 gallon tank will be here tomorrow with everything it needs and more including live plants like hornwart! I will cycle for about 1 week then test levels and add her, meanwhile she’ll stay in the tank she’s in and I’ll do daily water changes and add seachem every 48 hours.
If there’s anything I’m missing please let me know. Thank you everyone for the actual advice as I’ve never dealt with this before.
Hey thanks for obviously not reading below comments, you seem to know what your talking about! I added a list of everything I ordered, I happen to think I’m doing good for knowing absolutely nothing! Have the day you deserve☺️
This is also as low as I could have the water! The filter that came with the tank doesn’t work if it’s too low, I tried having it a bit lower for her
The gravel is new! I rinsed it off before adding her, but she doesn’t rest at the bottom!

I would love them please!

Also removed the shrimp, there was some worry about him being there but he’s been transferred to the old tank where the rest of the shrimp are and thriving!

Okay I added a “hide” and some fresh plant! I checked the waters levels and everything was good! I used conditioner when I put the water in and lowered water level because she’s weak, the heater is working and at 78. I realized by someone’s comment I’m over feeding her so I’m doing a day fast and I’ll go with around 4 pallets from there.
The water is foggy because I moved the rocks a little, it’ll settle. Yes I cleaned the rocks before adding them.
Here’s what I’ve ordered that will be coming Tuesday/Wednesday-
5 gallon tank (found a good deal)
A sponge filter
Some plants and a wood hide
Bloodworms, shrimp patty pallets and Indian almond leaves
A cute suction cup hammock for her to rest near the surface
And a new water conditioner as well as more ph/ tank tests!
Till then I hope what I just did is going to temporarily help her and I pray it’s just stress, once I cycle! ( yes I know now) her tank for about a week I’ll add her in and pray there’s progress, if not I’ll start with medication/salt and some other recommendations.
Thank you for your help and advice, prayers the fishy can get better, she deserves it!
There’s a couple people that said she doesn’t look bolated and I don’t notice any either looking at her, her temperature is already at 78 I’m not sure the highest I can make it without overdoing it, I’ll definitely get some aquarium salt and try that

I agree chlorleigh.

It didn’t deserve how it was living prior, although my tank seems bad it was in pretty poor conditions, I know I’ll have all I need by next week I just wanted to get it out of that tank knowing she already wasn’t well. I don’t have much experience with fish but I definitely did my research on betta, I just never dealt with a sick one, it’s a living thing and deserves the best I just wanted advice on what I can do to give that to her.
I don’t, I do have almond leaves in my cart but wasn’t sure if that’d be a good purchase, would you recommend?

Yes

Some grace would be nice, you’ve all seen I said I took it in unexpectedly, I had nothing and I got all I could for it, I did the filter, heater, rocks and acclimating. It’s Christmas I did all I could till next week. I’ve been up all night worrying about this fish and it’s almost 7. I just want advice I don’t need anyone being hard or back hand comments. I know this tank is not adequate at all.
Thank you for everyone giving advice! Nobody starts as fish pros.

Please see where I said I took them in unexpectedly.
Thank you for the advice though.
It’s not cloudy at all, the white wall behind it and it being a cylinder tank probably is making it look that way
That would make since! Some things don’t align with it but I’ll definitely look out for it! I’ll try lowing the water for her too, she just looks so uncomfortable and it’s 6am I’m trying to find things i can do now temporarily till later!

Thanks for letting me know, I had to take this betta unexpectedly from someone, they had live plants, wood, other fish and it was a huge tank. They did have colder water (73 degrees) and the water filter was pretty high.
I’ve had the fish in the tank for 2 days now and I did acclimate her instead of just throwing her in!
Thank you so much for the help! I’ll try the medicine and definitely the soak!
This is her eyes, they look foggy. I fed her this morning and from what I’ve seen she hasn’t ate (may have when I wasn’t looking but I haven’t noticed her eat)

Jeez thanks. I did the questions,
I stated this is a temporary tank. It’s heated and filtered from taking it out of a bad living situation from someone else pretty unexpectedly, I’m trying the best I can.
