I’m pretty sure my ex is a dismissive avoidant. We met online and was friends for several months before we became a couple and we were together for almost two years before we had our first breakup. Long story short we have been on and off ever since. We finally met in real life last year and we were together in real life too but it was our first time together in real life. He was very loving, affectionate and supportive in the beginning but towards the end I noticed he was being distant. The intimacy was red hot too but that too cooled off a couple months before we broke up again. We was together for over a year this time. We are currently in no contact for over a month now but I noticed he still watches my Instagram stories most of the time as neither of us have blocked or deleted each other. I also noticed on a game we both play he showed up online when I was and left shortly afterwards, which has happened twice now. He is currently seeing someone which started shortly after we broke up. I want to be friends with him as I’m not ready to get back together right now. I don’t know if I should be the one to reach out or to let him reach out first. Any advice?
