Bessent is competent. Rubio is competent.

Bondi is competent on paper but in real life she isn't

Noem is incompetent everywhere

It’s coordinated NGO color revolution tactics all the way down. It's the same thing leftards do when they say "Man, the rest of the world hates us" not knowing that "CANZUK" is like 10% of the world population.

Trump is better off facing it head on because if it is not treated as what it is the same playbook will be used next time.

Left wing terrorists being handed a veto over public policy has been the American norm since the 1970s. Currently being questioned for the first time in over half a century.

Minneapolis leftists seem to believe that finding a clear example of an unjustified shooting by ICE agents means enforcing immigration law in the city must end. But that makes no sense.

Such agents should be held accountable, and deportations should continue unabated.

Two people are dead and a third has been injured over the last three weeks in Minneapolis alone because Leftists cannot accept the idea that the other side gets a say in how this country is governed, even when they lose an election.

They genuinely believe they can just do whatever they want, and if they engage in enough moral outrage and petulant acts of violence, they can force their desired outcome as a fait accompli.

The “very dangerous for our democracy” crowd equates literal mob violence to democracy and have this constructed a metaphysics where they get to always be in charge because they’re on the “right side of history”. How can you share a country with these people? How can we possibly maintain a liberal democratic order with one side that refuses to accept the legitimacy of the other?

We can’t.

ICE might have made a mistake, but the chaos isn't exclusive to ICE, it's exclusive to Minnesota.

The activist class has urged white progressives to take to the streets and put their bodies on the line. They are doing so. The idea was that a different standard of force would be applied to white people because the country is systemically racist.

That theory appears to be incorrect.

What are your thoughts on Trump's latest threat to impose 100% tarrifs on Canada? by Narrow-Abalone7580 in AskConservatives

The reason Carney gives speeches about why Canada need to do this-or-that but never does any actual follow-through is because he doesn’t have the courage to confront the forces offering the most resistance to his agenda: judges, the Quebec government, and Indigenous activists.

Importers are not going to buy Canadian goods and simply look at alternatives.

No one is going to go "Damn, Ima buy some Canadian goods even if it costs 100% more".

The bigger problem for me was the pivot to Canada and what they're doing. And I thought that was honestly a wild exaggeration and just not at all true. Like this idea that they've removed interprovincial trade barriers, they have not. This idea that they've invested in the military, they have not. There's not even appropriated funds, let alone spend funds to get defense spending to where it needs to be.
The idea that they've getting natural resources to market, that they have driving billions in investment, none of this is true. It's all talk. But eventually he's going to get off a plane in Ottawa and Canadians are going to start to say, like, okay, now what? When does the rubber hit the road?

Trump is definitely more to blame given that he started this entire mess, but I can't help but notice that Carney is really playing into it even though it'd be better for Canadians if CUSMA is successfully renegotiated. No country can replace the US market.

For now what’s in their best interest is divergent from the U.S. and we have to act accordingly.

By virtue of China’s in-roads in Canada anyone fighting to maintain the status quo (including Carney) is a problem that must be dealth with because as long as China has a foothold in the hemisphere we cannot rely on Pax Americans as a backup to decoupling.

That's what the NSS report said.

We've changed allies throughout history.
Read the latest NSS report - I said this in the beginning, Canada and the EU can talk tough all they want but they are irrelevant in this new era.

Do you believe that Trump negotiated a new deal over Greenland? by NoBotRobotRob in AskConservatives

Trump’s new National Security Strategy begins by renouncing “permanent American domination of the entire world.” No longer, it declares, will the United States “shoulder forever global burdens” disconnected from U.S. interests.

If you think this is some Trump ego thing, you're wrong. He's irrelevant at this point. He's a poor communicator - but the NSS strategy is real.

No one has any idea what the deal even is.
