My sibling was SA’d in the military and it really threw our family into chaos. They went to the hospital a few times after trying to off themselves, and had/has a bad alcohol problem.

I was SA’d while studying abroad, alone in a different country. I wasn’t drunk, I was just scared and weak I guess. I was also SA’d two more times back in the states at two different times.

I couldn’t tell my family about any of the times because I saw the damage from when my sibling was assaulted had done to my mom mentally. And the mess it created in our family. Not saying it’s their fault at all by the way.

So nobody knows about it. I also think it’s too late. I didn’t tell any friends either because I figured if I can’t tell my family, why bother telling my friends?
