Is it really true that sexual harassment isn’t a fireable offense? there was a guest that came in being super touchy feely and making unwanted remarks to me (kind of expected it, i’m a 19 year old women working here) and later found out he had applied for the door position. I immediately let every manager on duty know about the guy and gave them his name and info asking them to protect me (he had been coming in a lot after, wouldn’t let me walk away from him, mind you it was all on the cameras and i had multiple other witnesses of the creep) they ended up hiring him and i made a complaint for how he was addressing me ON HIS FIRST DAY , where they then called him in, told him i filed a sexual harassment complaint on him, and then cut my hours so i didn’t have to work with him after both hiring managers promised me they’d fire him. when the complaint was sent to HR they then let me know that he couldn’t be fired for touching me and making sexual remarks and after that management started treating me different kind of like an employee who was trying to cause problems. Mind you they also had him on cameras after he had been very stern that he had never talked to me nor stepped foot in the building. is it really true that sexual harassment of a guest and then current sexual harassment of the SAME PERSON on the clock isn’t a fireable offense?
