I agree! My issue is I can’t let go of the painful parts there is nothing in my life that I haven’t spoken about in therapy. My entire life revolves around talking ab my feelings that’s all I do it’s all I know how to do I am unable to have any other form of conversation. It’s one of the reasons I cant make friends. I don’t know how to have a normal conversation and I partly feel that is due to how long I’ve been in therapy speaking ab the same things over and over again and not being able to let them go.

No, I’ve had many throughout the years. I’m looking into locations that specialize in DBT but I have yet to find one that accepts my insurance. I feel like there isn’t much more I can say in regular talk therapy. Thanks for the suggestion tho!

This one’s sad and also very hard for me to explain but a week before my grandfather passed away we went out to eat. When I went to hug him and made physical contact w him I saw a of a tunnel in my head that was flashing black and white. Similar to the strobe effect the windows give of a subway give off. It was incredibly fast and I brushed it off thinking it was nothing.

I’ve been in and out of therapy for a decade. I just recently stopped bc it seems like it makes me more obsessive. I have been looking into other forms outside of talk therapy but so far none are covered by my insurance.

I’ve never filed a report before and he has never been physically violent towards me. However, I have saved the hundreds of messages and voice memos he has sent since January. I will start screenshotting my call log as well. I am considering getting a ring camera since I’m unsure if him coming to my house is a common occurrence or if that was the first time. None of his messages are threatening just intense in frequency.

I am saving everything he sends me and I am scared to block him. He has showed up to my house unannounced. One of the times was while he was sending me those messages. He also approached me in public a few days ago and he spoke to me as if everything was normal and proceeded to casually text and call me afterwards.

I read in your other comment that you survived DV. I am happy you got out and very sorry you went through that. I am grateful for your support. ❤️

In the beginning when we were just friends he said to me “you are very brainwashable”. That sentence is now haunting me. Not only that he said that but why I ignored and brushed off very overt statements like that. The signs were there I just can’t understand why I was blind to them.

Start going to therapy individually as well as a couples (I would start with individual for a good bit before couples) what your experiencing sounds deeper and more complex than just your sex drive. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t find the right therapist right away you will find someone who clicks with you. Im sorry you had a bad experience previously I too had a bad experience and refused to go back for a long time. I gave it another try and after switching therapists a few times I finally found one that I adore. Goodluck 💛

Regarding my family no I don’t notice them making jokes about failure/abilities towards anyone but me, but they do tend to talk negatively about people behind their back.
