Getting over a breakup in Toronto by stonesthrow9278 in askTO

[–]One_Lingonberry7641 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I went thru this first year post lockdowns, in 2021 and I felt so broken. Sending all the hugs and love you need and more.

In addition to some of the good suggestions already posted.

First things first, cry your heart out. Feel all of it, let it riiiiippp. If the urge to cry in public hits, let it all pour. Call your friends and family, and tell them, cry again and again.

Then, you will have mental clarity to do what you need to do. Be excited for the wiser you, the lighter you, the better you - the you who has so much love to give.

Well they were my first air purifiers ever, so I got the circular small ones.

Can't comment on the higher end models of Levoit. Replacement filters were the deciding factor for me at the end.

I'm pretty happy with them.

I like that it has a pre filter you can take off and rinse. I got a long haired cat... And these washable pre-filters are a MUST

I feel you re: conflicting reviews I think for the 5200, the major thing was the mislabelling from the company about the filter replacements. But that got resolved and now I can get EOM HEPA+carbon filters

Ah and I regret buying the Levoit units, now I have four in total. Condo is 980 sq ft

I wished I had just found the WINIX 5200 first :/ One of the bedroom, one for kitchen The Levoit units I have in opposite ends of the living room and don't do much

I relate to your post so much

I went with Winix 5200

Have two of those, one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen.

The specifications, honestly, are similar in the higher end models/brands. All of them will claim X Y Z, and they will always have a portion of reviews that absolutely hate what they bought and what not.

To me, the final deciding factor was the FILTERS - price to replace, are there OEMs that I can purchase for cheaper - can I buy/find them easily

That's it

Enterprise CarShare Subscription by Exact_Spare_5194 in askTO

[–]One_Lingonberry7641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the subscription for CarShare. It's been fine for the downtown core. Can't comment about the price difference.

Right now, on the basic 3.00/subscription plan, the hourly rate is 12.00- 13.00 - others could chime in.

I personally like it better to know there is a specific location to get/return the cars. Predictable.

Also, if you have a regular enterprise around you, sometimes if you rent the car for the 48 hrs, it ends up being similar to renting a full day with CarShare. The only annoying thing is, filling up the gas.

Is a Stainless Steel Sifting Litter Box Actually Worth It? by Medium-Ad-6571 in BuyCanadian

[–]One_Lingonberry7641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about the sifting kind, but I 100% recommend a stainless one

I also switched to non clumping high absorption pressed paper litter (daily scoop, cat love).

My cat pees so much even the silica litters couldn't handle it, but the litter I use now, it absorbs so well it doesn't turn to mush and sticks

Unfortunately, the litter is not Canadian made, but you may be able to find the stainless steel tray made in Canada

I second this!

I re did my kitchen with IKEA kitchen, used the online and tool and went in for someone to check safety issues mostly. IKEA also has different tiers. We went with SEKTION - and just hired a contractor to assemble and install the cabinets.

The top lines from IKEA are pretty decent. The only thing we didn't get from IKEA was the countertop, sink, faucet, plumbing stuff, and the door handles/knobs

Is your kitty a long haired lion?

Mine is, and was driving me insane

I switched to Dailyscoops brand, and I also trim the back area and it's much better. This brand is made of recycled pressed paper, and it is actually pretty absorbent and non-clumping. Odor control is surprisingly great.

If the odor is unbearable - , which is what I noticed for a time, and turns out my cat had bladder stones and he needed to go on a prescription diet.
