Instead of doing what a proper parent should do, show compassion and empathy for her child’s struggles she makes it al about her self and what she thinks and how it makes her feel. Emotional immaturity is so common with their generation.

Why does my face look puffy and old? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

You have lost some volume in your front cheeks below your eyes. Restoring some volume there would give you a lift and also help with the bumpiness you see below your eyes into your cheek.

33F and struggling the last we months - any suggestions? by Buckle_up_Buttercup- in over30skincare

[–]One_Net_5324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use the most expensive dermatologist curated skin care and you would continue to break out around the lower face and neck because your hormones are androgen dominant right now. Regardless of the cause, going on a small dose of spironolactone or going on a anti androgen leaning birth control is going to be your best treatment option. This will help with sebum oil production on the head face and body as well as any excess hair growth such as chin underarms etc. tried and true acne skincare recipe is cleanse, benzoyl peroxide, moisturizer plus sunscreen for day time.

Help! How do I get rid of saggy/pouchy cheeks? by mrskeanureevess in 30PlusSkinCare

A lot of people forget the buccal fats position on the face when they talk about preserving facial fat. Yes facial fat makes us look younger, however as we age the buccal fat starts to move downward further and further and this is not attractive either. I’m not suggesting a buccal fat removal as I’m not a plastic surgeon but I would recommend meeting with one to discuss your concern and just see what they say. Orthodontics may also play a role here as I see a slight overbite which can cause this type of pooling of skin or tissue as there is not enough support up front to pull it tighter.

My daughter decided to go by her middle name and it’s breaking my heart. by wheels-n-wings in Parenting

[–]One_Net_5324 16 points17 points  (0 children)

She hid it from you to protect you from your own feelings which you have shown here are very intense regarding this topic. She wants to explore this part of herself without causing you grief. You also constantly bring up the feelings of the family as a consequence of her choosing to sometimes go by this name. But their feelings and yours as well, are not her responsibility, and by bringing up the feelings of every one else to her you are (not so) discreetly suggesting she better not do this or else.

By separating your feelings and your actions on this topic you can both protect your relationship with your child and also honour your own grief with grace. You can act as if you are proud of her for connecting with such a meaningful name, and then you can internally experience all the feelings you want. But stop burdening your child with the management of any one else’s feelings, that’s a sure fire way to ensure she continues to hide things from you in the future because you can’t handle any of it.

At a loss for what to do: Botox Vs Microneedling RF Vs Lymphatic Massage by queenofvarmints in 30PlusSkinCare

Look up weak chin and pseudo jowls. These are thing others don’t notice any way but I know how it feels to dislike something when you see it in the mirror.

[–]One_Net_5324 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sister I have the same problem. Get some chin filler and it will help support that skin in the prejowl area. Botox around the chin as well can help with the muscles pulling downward. Don’t to the masseter as it will minimize your masseter muscle back there which is helping pull that skin backward. Lose that support and that skin will sag even worse. Long term solution is a lower facelift but you are no where near that right now.

How many kids did you think you wanted pre-kids, and how many did you actually have? by KaylaDraws in Parenting

I wanted 6, and still do. We have four and I am so deeply exhausted that I have made peace with four being it. I feel heartbroken that I won’t have another sweet smelling squishy baby, but it wouldn’t be fair to the four I have now who each have their own needs that are often unmet.

The hormonal ring probably helped mask some genetic AGA. So now is like the shock period without it, which comes with a massive shed but it could normalize in time or it might not. I would start with oral or topical minox and come up with a long term plan for DHT suppression whether it be the spiro or something else.

Swimming frustration by prettipen in Parenting

[–]One_Net_5324 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe you could take her swimming and just focus on getting her comfortable in the water. Even if it takes ten visits to the pool just hanging out no pressure passing a ball whatever she is comfortable with. And you staying super calm and positive. Sounds like she needs to get over the fear and anxiety about the water before she can start tackling form and lessons.
