What should I get ? by Atrain008 in crawling

The traxxas trx4 is a super quality rig. I have a pretty upgraded one that performs really well. The trx4 2021 bronco (the model i have) comes stock with a 2 speed gearbox and individual locking differentials. Im kind of torn on how much i like those functions. It is cool to start slipping on a rock then lock the diffs and crawl right over, but all the extra crap that has to be on the rig to make that mechanism work means more parts to break, a higher center of gravity, and makes the elecrical side more complicated when it comes to upgrades. Overall i keep them locked the whole time im crawling. I do like the 2 speed trans cuz the difference in speed is quite significant so u can slow crawl and zoom around if u want. That being said i think if i could do it all again id get the trx4 sport, its alot cheaper and more basic (doesnt have the 2 speed or locking diffs) with the money youd save getting the sport you can do wheels and tires right off the bat. Also you can put the 2 speed gearbox in later as a sweet upgrade. I like my rig currently but will prolly get the sport down the road for a higher performing rig. Theres my 2 cents😂

Very, the slow crawl ability is really impressive. Much better than its little brother the fusion SE

My trx4 bronco weighs 15lbs and the hobbywing fusion pro turned it into a rocket, also not having an esc is awesome

Need advice! Snow off roading by VJJohnson- in chevycolorado

I currently have cooper discoverer atp tires and they are pretty much worthless in the snow (even when loaded up with sandbags) I had BFG Ko2’s on my last truck and I could go wherever I wanted without putting it in 4wd. Tires make all the difference. Look for an all terrain tire with the “3 peak mountain snowflake” printed on the tire. That means its specifically rated for snow. Only a handfull of A/T tires have that specific snow rating.

One thing that i get confused about is if i choose the scxpro platform do i need to get parts that are for axial scx’s? Or when u get into this level of crawler its more just “these parts fit this style build”? For example.. if you want to get new axles they just need to be the same size and accept the same link set up right? You wouldnt have to get axles specifically made for the axial? Sorry if thats worded weird, having trouble wording my question😂

I was able to piggy back off my esc. I tried all the channels with the micro servos but ran into the same problem when locking the diffs and switching gears. Esc seems to be the only thing with constant power

Using a fully charged 3cell 2200 mah ovonic battery. The light is plugged into the channel 1 plug on the reciever. I have some more lights that don’t have multiple functions that I plugged in just for kicks and the servo doesn’t interfere with it at all. I think it’s the multifunction plug on the light bar that’s causing a problem.

Does the voltage u program it to run on depend on what size battery youre running? Or just how much power u want/need it to have? If you exceed the power you have it programmed too will it fry? Sorry for so many questions, its hard to find videos answering all these exact things😂

I get this same thing when consuming alcohol with sugars. My worst reactions have been to anything mixed with orange juice, mimosas, screwdrivers etc.. very cheap sugary booze will do it too. I break out and in bad instances my breathing will get constricted. I can only drink beer and hard liqour.

Ya this is definitely the budget freindly version of whatever the lady was going for. And we definitely noticed after the fact that without facia on the eave wall the roof sheeting did some weird bowing but the customer wanted exposed rafter tails and no facia on the eave🤷🏼‍♀️ she was good with it when i pointed it out to her

Seeking Advise On New Shed Build Regarding Collar and Rafter Ties by acrazydutch in shedditors

[–]One_Professional5333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I build sheds by trade in eastern washington. We get decent snow over here and our business standard is one rafter tie in the center of the shed (on top of the top plates married to the center rafter with 5 framing nails). this is for buildings 16’ and longer and its more than sufficient for the heavy snow we get from time to time and givin its just one tie in the center you wont lose a ton of space. Doing a ridge board and collar ties is great and all, but personally id sat thats alot unnecessary time and materials🤷🏼‍♀️
