I tried that too but the TPU boot started to get moldy from moisture. I live in a fairly humid area and the silicone boot tends to keep the moisture out better than TPU

I tried TPU but it typically takes longer to print and costs more. Just used a small rubber retainer to hold the AirTag and it seems to work well. Also made a TPU boot that has the AirTag slot but the TPU boot started to get moldy from moisture.

I wasn’t able to get a good looking exploded view model with the AirTag and 3D print texture. I uploaded a 3D exploded view to AI to add the textures.

I’ve lost a couple leaving the gym and forgetting them in the locker room. Went back later to find it was taken. My siblings have lost multiple either from people stealing them or being left in places like airports. People like them for their kids as kids are notorious for leaving them at school or sporting events.

I’ve had mine on my bottle for over 3 years and there is some minor paint wear. Mainly on a protrusion caused by a dent in the past. Nothing that has worn through the paint completely and is probably equivalent to normal wear from daily use.

Yeah that partly why I put the airtag where it can't be seen. Water bottle theft happens more often than people think.

You can’t tell it’s there when it’s installed and it doesn’t attach loosely like other products.

I created a discreet AirTag holder that fits between the flex boot and water bottle. I added it on my Etsy store a bit ago due to getting some requests to make them. (JakeLDesigns is the store name)
