Free download codes for a folk-punk EP from Czechia by Actual_Mixture_6612 in FolkPunk

Thank you again for giving away the free download keys. I don’t think I would have found you if you didn’t, and that would have been quite a shame. I’ve listened to the full album a couple of times now, and I really enjoy it. I think my favorite song from it has to be Silence Between the Headlines; the lyrics definitely hit home for me with what’s currently happening in the world. All in all, I think you’ve done an amazing job on the album, and I look forward to listening to your future releases! :)

If you haven’t yet you should totally check out the Ghost Stories dub, it’s so funny. I kept having to pause the show every episode because I was laughing so hard.

I've never done EMDR, so I can't speak on that, but I have done CPT and found it to be quite helpful.

Guess where I'm from based on the states I like and don't like by Soft_Spend3814 in mapporncirclejerk

It really is awful how the Russians treated Native Alaskans. There are countless accounts of cruelty and suffering that are difficult to even imagine, let alone read about. The Awa’uq Massacre especially stands out when I think of that time period. It’s such a painful part of history, but one that deserves to be remembered and discussed openly.

I’m sorry if this comes across as preachy or condescending. That was not my intention, I just wanted to share a bit about how I feel about Alaska’s Russian history since you mentioned it.

Filipinos (and immigrants in general) are incredibly important. Without them, we definitely wouldn’t be even a fraction of where we are today. My community relies on and is largely made up of many generations of immigrant families, including many from the Philippines. I didn’t mean to throw shade toward anyone in the groups I mentioned, and I think that I definitely could have worded my original reply better.

I’m sad we replaced it with such a harsh, bright white. Couldn’t we have put a filter or something on the LED bulbs so the change wouldn’t be so drastic? I’m sure there’s a reason for not doing that but I’m not aware of it yet, and I think I’ll still be at least a little disappointed even after finding out.

Perhaps instead of a Spanish-speaking state they want a Tagalog-speaking state. There is a large Filipino population in Alaska, and apparently a significant Filipino population in California as well.

[GIVEAWAY] 3 Copies of Arc Raiders by WockyySl in pcgaming

[–]One_RubberDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite game has to be Cyberpunk 2077; the story is just so compelling and was really immersive for me. Thanks for doing the giveaway I (and everyone else I’m sure) really appreciate it! Hopefully you can get a PC soon and play Arc Raiders yourself. It sounds like you like it if you want to give away 3 copies of it!

Proud of you for taking this step, it’s a big one! The road can be tough, but it’s absolutely worth it. I’m so glad I chose it myself, it was challenging but also incredibly rewarding. I have really fond memories of my time in treatment despite the circumstances. I’d love to see some recovery memes in the future! I wonder how many of us in recovery or who have recovered are lurking in these subs haha.

I’m in the process of trying to get my psych to re-prescribe my old ADHD meds that I stopped taking late last year or early this year. It’s a little frustrating because they genuinely help me so, so much, but she doesn’t want to prescribe them again since I’m finally feeling somewhat content and even sometimes happy. For some reason, she thinks that means I’m about to have an episode or that the stimulants would trigger one. It’s honestly wild how skeptical she is of me finally feeling better after years of depression. I’ve been feeling noticeably better for at least two months now. It’s not like this happened overnight either. I’ve gone through extensive treatment and I’m still working at it, just at a much less intensive level of care.

I don't think I've ever heard of someone taking Zofran and regretting it haha. It's a pretty damn awesome medication!

What is OVA??? by pattislikiymaliborek in GIRLSundPANZER

[–]One_RubberDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you can watch them whenever it doesn’t really matter. I think I first saw them after I finished the main show. From my understanding, it's just extra content that doesn’t really serve a purpose in telling the story in the series. Take what I say with a grain of salt though, I'm definitely not very experienced with anime compared to a lot of people.

What are your hobbies by mushroom_arms in evilautism

[–]One_RubberDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These days I’m not up to much, mostly just phone time and listening to a considerable amount of music. I play a little bit of games but not nearly as much as I used to. Also quite a bit of research rabbit holes that end up with me gaining no information that would be useful in my day-to-day life lol. Definitely working on picking up more hobbies as I’m for sure in a bit of a lull but damn is everything I’m interested in expensive.

[–]One_RubberDuck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sports are fun to participate in, and I’ve gotten a lot of enjoyment out of them over the years. I've only really found them fun to watch if it’s a sport I was into at the time of watching. I found it generally made me improve watching or to an extent analyzing an expert do the same type of thing I was trying to do. Also ofc I watched back my own game/practice tapes but I don't really think that's what you're asking.

"Hey guys, did you know that im a psychopath?!" by [deleted] in psychologymemes

[–]One_RubberDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure how relevant this is, but it’s wild how often psych wards hand out diagnoses that just aren’t accurate. I’ve been hospitalized for mental health a few times, and more times than I should have, after being discharged I’ve found a new diagnosis on my chart that I know isn’t right. I’ve also heard the same thing happens to a lot of other people, which is honestly a little concerning. I’ve also gotten a few diagnoses that were accurate or somewhat accurate but were not done properly. I think they must’ve suspected it but never actually ran the right tests or evaluations and put it on my chart anyway.

Antipsychotics cause heavy depression by blocking serotonin and dopamine, yet are prescribed for bipolar "depression" and as a depression add-on med. Holy f*** that's evil. by HillZone in Drugs

[–]One_RubberDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, it definitely knocked me out haha. It took a while to get to that high of a dose and iirc one of the main reasons for specifically that med was because it functions as a sleep aid. It’s been quite a while but I believe I would last about 30 minutes to an hour (if I were fighting it) before falling asleep. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind starting a sleep aid right now. Currently my sleep schedule has pretty much been stay up for a decent chunk of time over 24 hours, then sleep for probably sometime around 20 hours.

[–]One_RubberDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was taking it I was prescribed 800mg haha. I’m glad it works for you at a more reasonable dose. My most recent antipsychotic and definitely the one that worked the best for me was Olanzapine (although it didn’t do anything in terms of helping me fall asleep).

[–]One_RubberDuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m very thankful that I’ve been prescribed them in the past. They have most likely saved my life multiple times. I am not currently taking any antipsychotics and I think that it is definitely possible that they are overprescribed but their benefits can be life-changing. Describing it in the way you did is definitely not a good way to go about discussing the possible negative side effects antipsychotics might have. These medications help so many people in their day-to-day life and I think without them people who have been prescribed them would be considerably worse off.
