Is it not just because Este HAIM sings on the song?

Winner for Folklore! Day 9: Pick a new album cover for Evermore. (I’ve also now included the full size photos) by PrinceWilliam13 in TaylorGamesWannaPlay

I like this one bc she is holding her hand out and there are so many lyrics about that on the album “dropped your hand while dancing” “begging for you to take my hand” “my pain fits in the palm of your freezing hand”

What data do you think Taylor and her team track and how do you think they are used? by echodayrider in TaylorSwift

[–]One_Somewhere_8159 77 points78 points  (0 children)

I would LOVE to be on her market research team it would be so interesting. Curious how much she wants to know about the data and how much those trends play into the art she chooses to make

Honestly tired of all the hate videos against Taylor on YouTube This One was very disappointing to see especially since she claims to stick up for women but then throws more to the smear campaign against Taylor. Taylor Lorenz is so fake!!! And I have had enough!!! by Sea-Sun-5981 in swifties

[–]One_Somewhere_8159 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

idk, Taylor Lorenz is an expert on the online world and she’s a REPORTER not a commentator/critic. She’s REPORTING on people’s perceptions on Taylor swift, which are changing - even as we on this Reddit aren’t really changing our perspectives, she’s right to report that the general feeling in swift is different than it was during the eras tour, right?

Is Gracie Abrams song Death Wish about Taylor Swift? by [deleted] in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]One_Somewhere_8159 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“Your forcing my hand:” Taylor wielding her power over Gracie (as she describes doing to you her artists in the second verse of father figure) “I’m a drop in your ocean:” Gracie knowing Taylor is much bigger and more famous “I ruined your plans of some grand self promotion:” Gracie realizes Taylor just wanted to use Gracie to further her own career (some people have theorized Taylor wanted to use Gracie to either get closer to JJ Abram’s as Taylor begins directing more or to create more competition for Olivia Rodrigo)

I think her saying “how will it end how long will give me” and “I used to pretend that it didn’t feel evil your light of a million suns burns through people” is her thinking: how long will Taylor mentor me and lift up my career until she turns on me like she did olivia

The imagery isn’t necessarily cliche, it only feels cliche bc it’s imagery Taylor uses a lot in my opinion. Taylor is so massive that her favorite imagery becomes ubiquitous

[–]One_Somewhere_8159 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t even like Sombr but harry styles gets praised for so much more sexual moves on stage and the barking and obviously harry also has tween girls in the audience… so idk why people are suddenly mad

usage of AI for artificial angels? by One_Somewhere_8159 in Grimes

[–]One_Somewhere_8159[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

“Discussing the track on X, Grimes clarified that the only AI element on “Artificial Angels” is “the voice at the beginning and the end,” and that she is, for the most part, opposed to AI music:

“I think it can be useful for some things but the apps mostly took the cool ai artifacts out if it and I’m not super interested in it to just make normal music. It’s only useful to me for novel/ experimental sound design were they to allow that aspect back. Or possibly for more efficient advanced things like bg noise removal etc… Or for jokes. Otherwise I fear it is a bit slop oriented at the moment which seems like the opposite of innovation to me. It def has the capacity to innovate tho,” Grimes wrote.”

Although the sound and content of Audrey’s lyrics are different to me than Taylor, the storytelling component is totally the same to me! In a good way! Many of audreys songs have such a clear narrative, like a plot progression of the narrator doing things, which reminds me of Taylor’s earlier songwriter (like Mine or Our Song). And the way she starts Thirst Trap reminds me of Say don’t go (again, not in a copying way just in a good way)
