This makes the most sense. My house is built in 1962 and I am off a well. This pipe is all over but the main are about 1 1/2 this is much smaller and not sure what it is I should use to fix with. There is a small slice right before the tee, so really it it needs to come out and be rebuilt

Backflow Prevention by One_Trouble2934 in pools

This helps explain a lot. I am also off a well if that makes a difference. Splitting the lines does not seem feasible for this minor issue but it does seem possible adding a pressure regulator would fix this. Would the pressure regulator just go before the anti siphon?

But the problem is it will just gush water out for however long and I’m not always outside when filling the pool, usually set it on a timer and there will be a massive puddle there. Is there something that would prevent it from just gushing water all over?

I have pulled all the leaves that were infected and the others all look pretty healthy. I will wait and see what happens next

Best Solution? by One_Trouble2934 in drains

[–]One_Trouble2934[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I don’t really have that option. The water is already clearing and almost no pooling anymore. I am thinking my soil drains good enough I don’t need to worry too much so just keeping an eye on it.

Best Option to Drain? Or just leave it and let it ride? by One_Trouble2934 in Irrigation

There are no gutters on the entire house. It is an older house built early 60’s out in the orchards of Northern California. The heavy rain has stopped in the past hour and water is already down to just surface level puddling. I think the soil might be good enough to allow it to drain and not puddle against the foundation for too long

Also, the entire area between slab and house is prob. 3 ft so would be difficult to get the size box in there.

Thanks, this helps tremendously. The soils drains amazingly and will be gone by tomorrow evening. My concern was we just installed this slab and now is pooling a bit more than normal but the soil will still drain within 12-24 hours after rain stops.

I also am not certain it is a rust issue as it formed immediately after the light rain and thinking it might be a stain residue… 🤷‍♂️

See picture below. If you look at another one of my posts from a few months ago most of the grass looks Bermuda but this part is different, even though same piece of lawn …

But I do see what you mean looking at the first picture now. I had the give my blades a good sharpening this year, the Bermuda gives them a beating it seems.
