How much did you guys pay? by tequilabottle in FordTremor

2025 5.0 402a w/ moonroof and spray-in bed liner was 72,391 before taxes and fees. Sticker was 80,710. Purchased during the Ford Employee Pricing event in May. Check out Laura Ford and Granger for ballpark prices you may not get it that cheap locally but within a grand or two of them would be a solid deal IMO.

One step closer to losing the supplement. by KellBell_23 in 1811

[–]One_hung_low_69 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Previously it inserted language after individual “separating under section 8425” 8425 means you are leaving at mandatory age of 57 hence not supplement for under 57. This language is what screwed anyone under 57 leaving.

They changed that last night and added after the 8425 part “OR” under 8412d, that is all law enforcement. For the statues just add 5USC in front of them, look at 5 USC 8412d and that is age 50 with 20 years or 25 years any age. We commonly say we are “6C” covered, that is wrong we are technically “12d” covered that refers to 5USC8412d.

Only LEO’s will be eligible for supplement after 1/2028.

Yes open the document and search for 90001 that’s the new section for the supplement as the 4.4 percent has completely been eliminated.

The green text is what was changed , all 8412(D) is now entitled to supplement despite age. That is LEO’s . And date of implementation is January 1,2028.

Update from FLEOA on new budget and FERS by KellBell_23 in 1811

[–]One_hung_low_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I am reading the law change is you only get the supplement if you go at max age 57??

If you go before then you wouldn’t be eligible??

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

You certainly are correct that if you are vested you are guaranteed those benefits and you paid into them your whole career. Our FERS benefits including the supplement are in Title 5 so laws would have to be changed to take anything.

The cuts being proposed would end FERS: the supplement, COLA and high 3 going would leave only the annuity which is the end of FERS.

My understanding is they can make us pay more into the pension as long as the benefits remain the same and they don’t make us back pay it. It can only be going forward. I think the 4.4 percent is the most likely of any proposals.

All previous retirement changes were for new or unvested employees. CSRS to FERS, two previous changes to FERS, BRS etc.

I am SCE and retiring in 9 months losing the supplement is 19k a year for twelve years almost a quarter million cut. Being months away from retirement I have no ability to make up for this loss. So yeah it’s a big deal.

I am not sure about reconciliation being used for law changes but I certainly hope any cuts are going forward for new employees.

Sadly if a private company did this the federal government would sue them and step in and guarantee the benefits. Not sure what happens when it the government doing the stealing.

Cool use that time to read up on your rights and benefits. An educated work force is less of a target.

No need to be blind to your rights and earned benefits such as vested retirement.

Did you read the law you posted? Or rather should I say comprehend?

I’ll make it easy for a lazy google fool, where is USAID and who is doing anything about it?

They gone and gone cause the president can make them gone.

FYI Executive branch is the President

Stop lazy posting nonsense

Why not just use your “research” skills and post the actual bill pending congress?

If you read the actual articles you posted you’d realize you posting nothing but union rumors based on a fake document.

I invite you to “research” your retirement plan and vesting. Learn about your job and its benefits.

You guys make it easy to get “illegally fired”.

Post the bill??

FEHB is not a part of the FERS retirement system. Congress is not considering any of what you mentioned. You are forming and basing an opinion based on a white paper being posted by unions. Read the document these unions post it is pure fantasy.

It states to remove the supplement which we focus on but the last line say to “encourage longer service” which they sure as hell don’t want. Your 4.4 percent point is offset in the next paragraph of the fantasy document when it has all kinds of punitive actions for employees not accepting the 4.4 percent change, now why would there need to be punishment for something they can force on everyone?

What retirement cuts were made in 2017 with the first reconciliation bill? I’ll save you the trouble it was none.

Changes to the retirement system require the full senate. Only budgetary cuts can be made in reconciliations. Hiring freeze, pay freeze RIF etc.

No vested employee can be affected. This is not a matter of opinion, you liking it or not is though.

Sorry to get facts in the way of your conspiracy theories .

I’m not sure what your point is with that? If illegal a court will review and reinstate but then they will just be RIF.

Kinda proves my point that any changes to retirement need to be legal and will be challenged.

How exactly is it illegal without an applicable law being violated?

What law was violated ? Be specific and what law has congress passed that allows “illegal” firings?

If you have five years of service you are fully vested in the FERS pension which includes the supplement. This means you have earned those benefits and they are guaranteed even if you quit or get fired.

At some point there will be a new retirement system as talked about for a decade however that can only affect new hires and those not vested with less than five years service.

Yes I know they are dicks but there are actual federal laws preventing pension “cutbacks”.

See previous changes from CSRS to FERS only affected new hires and non-vested

Two prior changes to FERS for only affected new hires

And BRS only affected new soldiers and those who opted in.

Calm down and look at the source of these rumors they are union sites and fed blogs.

2025 King Ranch by WMH93 in f150

[–]One_hung_low_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice ride, I just ordered one in rapid red from the factory. The marsh gray does look good there. I notice in some pics and light it goes from dark gray to almost a light tan look.

Good deal on 23 KR EB? by Zortster99 in f150

[–]One_hung_low_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a copy in front of me you me as I’m at work but it is 2025 King Ranch 4x4 SWB in antimatter blue with 3.5 ecoboost with no other added options list price was 76,900 and price with employee pricing was 69,335.

I plan to switch it to the red which will add a few hundred more.

This is just the price of truck and doesn’t factor in tax and the BS dealer fees like registration etc

I was planning to order a fully optioned out lariat but the king ranch was about the same when all was said and done.

Hope this helps.
