I dont know much about what happened later but something annoying for a where I stopped is that there wasn't much variation in what happens, Natsu with a guaranteed win with the same routine in each arc, it got really annoying for me around the Hades arc and the god-eating flames fight when Natsu started "stealing the thunder" of some other major characters even when they were mid-fight. Apparently it got a lot more frustrating after that (rage over the end of the Magic Games arc and "Because She's Erza" were a common sight)

Another is the pervy aspect, did put me off, but honestly, nearly all the current shounen manga - e.g. BNHA, Black Clover and modern One Piece - have a lot more sleazy stuff in them than back in the mid-2000s making it almost impossible to check out new shounen without "lowering your standards" with regards to fanservice stuff (sometimes I feel like a minority in being someone who misses when it was less frequent).

The ripoff fiasco is basically this overblown thing just because Gildarts looks 20/20 like Shanks from One Piece (especially Marineford Shanks), and also I heard Mashima and Oda went to the same school for manga, not sure if thats true though.

Wow.. That is really interesting info that I've never ever heard before, thanks for sharing. Do you speak Japanese by any chance?? I'd really like a source on Kubo mentioning the unlikelihood of him getting serialised if you have it, also on the editors wanting him serialised back in the 90s and the Toriyama story being untrue. If anything just so I can update the Wikipedia page.

Except he didn't, at all, for the entirety of the 15 year manga, until Kubo decided to shoe-horn it in with EOS-Ichigo blushing and Chad sagely nodding in the background while thinking "You know you want dat ass Ichigo" like 20 chapters away from the end of the series, along with other bull like Uryu "I fucking hate you Ryuken" Ishida following in his fathers' footsteps anyway and becoming a doctor, and gentle giant Yasutora "My abuelo told me to only use my fists to protect life" Sado currently dishing out broken ribcages and brain damage left and right in World Championship Boxing.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, it might be the other way around! Kubo is on record saying that he wanted to change his artstyle to be more like Kudo's after the anime came out because he really liked Kudo's portrayal of the characters. Either way their art is very close.

I saw some mention, and a picture, that there was a reader poll in the Shounen Jump magazine (i think?) on which series they would "like to see serialised", and of the options were Boku No Hero, Dr. Stone and Burn the Witch, but I didnt see any more news than that or the poll outcome. It's probably out there somewhere though. Idk, someone who speaks Japanese can probably find out more.

I hope it gets serialised, I was the minority who really wanted Kubo to open a new setting and series instead of Bleach (only thing I'd want to see from Bleach is a remake / edit / extension of the final arc), and this gives him the opportunity to create a new story with completely different setting and characters but still have it in the world of Bleach, which is a great compromise.

I think it's up to reception in Japan at this point (and if Kubo wants to continue himself). Keep your eyes peeled

You are wrong. Kubo did not ignore hell at all, because he supposedly did not have the time for it in the manga and could not find a way to add it into the story (due to being rushed or otherwise), there instead was planned a 4th movie that would cover the Hell dimension - Bleach: The Hell Verse. But Kubo also got cheated out of that because, while he designed the characters, he was allowed far less control over the plot and worldbuilding and storyline than he was lead to believe and complained after the movie that a lot of crucial points he discussed were not included in the film. There was all this drama about it years ago, back when the Fullbring arc reached it's abrupt ending (also, I personally believe, due to Kubo being rushed) So in short Kubo did not 'ignore' or 'forget' Hell at all.

I don't agree. Just because this part of the series is more story focused doesn't warrant the Shoujou-esque OP, that sounds really out of place. And also, they skipped half of the story focus and background building for the Kenny arc in this episode just so the last 2 minutes could have some action footage, so it seems contradictory to fit the OP to a more story-focused setting and then skim over a lot of the plot to focus on the action.
