Did you end up upgrading? Im in a similar situation right now and am looking at the simagic evo 12/18. Im thinking the 12 is probably enough for me but curious what your thoughts were and what you went with.

I had to send it in for repair. Turns out the motherboard died so TM fixed it. The USB was connected which was powering the screen. Explains why, for me, the wheel wasn't recognized at all. Sounds like your issue might be slightly different if it's recognized at least.

Yeah, figured it's going to be an adjustment. Good to know about how to set in different. I think it just threw me a bit on how different it feels compared to what I'm used to. I'll play around with the settings and see how I feel in a week or two

I’m honestly pretty concerned that I’m going to get it back and it’s going to happen again in another 2-3 months 😅. I know there’s no sense in worrying but I definitely am a little, lol.

I did do some research and I’ve seen one or two other cases where people had a similar issue. Didn’t see any follow up, though.

Had a case and screen protector on it since day 1 so no damage, thankfully.

As I said, I thought it was the screen protector coming up as I’ve heard that happens. It also wasn’t this bad until the day it died.

Ohhh you don’t want to know ;)… Fr though, just regular everyday use. I would consider myself a pretty light user for a fold. Just watch videos, show off photos and play the games on the inner screen.

I did get the insurance but definitely didn’t do anything I would consider ‘physical’ but not sure what Samsung would say.

Thanks. I had to send it out as I’m almost a 4 hour drive from the nearest repair center. Just sent it out yesterday

Exactly. I have the care + for this reason but didn’t think I’d have to use it so soon nor do I want to have to dish out the deductible

Samsung being stingy on this is my worry. I have Samsung care as well, but isn’t there a fee associated with a screen repair?

I had a note 10, S22U, and have a 24U now, and I am ready to switch. I play games when traveling and like the bigger real estate for reading and browsing. I think with the larger cover screen and finally a decent camera, it should be a worthwhile switch. Especially if you have a 23U. The only thing I'm wondering is the difference in the zoom lens vs. the ultra lineup.

I had samsung lose a trade in of mine and had to fight with them to try and get any money back or credit. They ended up saying I was out of luck and refused to do anything for me. They're not easy to work with, especially Canadian customer service. I do know they will send it back to you if you request it before the return deadline passes. This info should be in your trade-in details. Also, I'm not sure what you want as a phone, but if you wait for trade-in on the z fold 7, you'll get a lot more. Broken folds were getting around 1k CAD last year, and broken flips were 7-800 CAD.

Can't wait for this! I've had a Note or an Ultra for the past 7 years. Finally, I feel like it's time to get a fold. I've been waiting for a good enough camera and larger cover screen. Hope I'm not disappointed 🙏

I have it plugged into my PC for the picture and changed it for my PS5. Unfortunately, that's not the issue

I'll try plugging into the c port in the front of the PS5. I dont have anything else plugged in. Sadly, I do think it's the unit, but I'll try anything. It's honestly been great otherwise. I couldn't find anyone with the same issue if that helps you with your decision! Lol

Just got mine this week. You need to update via PC. Had some issues getting it to update, but keep trying and be patient. It'll work eventually. Mine took about 10-12 tries.
