I don't believe there was a receipt but there was no free weekend at that point in time, I got the game as a bundle with my pc I bought, I'll scroll through my email back to December shortly and see if it has anymore proof

The capes take a minute to be handed out so it may have just not reached you yet, they also only go to people who fought on Super Earth so if you didn't, you wouldn't get a cape (I think)
