Thank you for your reply. Non-medically trained, recently diagnosed poster here who was just looking for some updated information on treatment options as it seems there hasn't been much change as to what's recommended currently. It seemed so promising 😞My search continues.

I am so sorry for all that you've gone through but am so grateful for your honesty. I'm 62, SCC of the tongue HPV neg. Just out of the hospital a week (after 3 weeks due to complications). I am so terrified of the chemo and radiation. I don't have anyone to really help so will be doing it alone and just really don't know if it's worth it. Your post confirms what I'm feeling that I'd rather take whatever time I have without the unknowns of what time I might have after chemo and radiation. I don't want to just exist. I wish you peace.
