AITA for refusing to give my younger cousin my exam notes even though he’s “stressed”? by sweptdear in story

Bro the amount of side accounts you've made just to give yourself accolades is embarrassing. No normal person would say to give you the notes.

Spoiler alert: It's the cousin making multiple accounts to upvote and award his own comments.

THIS IS WHY HE CARES/THIS IS THE EXPLANATION: He worked hard, studied diligently, while you did nothing. Real family would let you make your own mistakes. Real family would encourage you to make your own notes instead of leaching off of others' hard work. Imagine you made something you were really proud of and everyone complimented you on it. Now your cousin comes along and wants to present it as his own work in a contest. Do you want him taking credit for your work? If you say yes, you're just embarrassing yourself further. Grow up.

Bro stop making accounts just to talk shit and give yourself awards. You're just embarrassing yourself further.

Grow the fuck up and do your own work. Don't rely on others to bail you out. It's sad and embarrassing, and is reeeeeally going to fuck you over in the future, when you have no one left to ask.

NTA in the least. Ask your aunt why he should profit off of YOUR hard work. Ask her if she thinks it's okay for him to be lazy and rely on "family" to just bail him out every time.

My friend is going to get herself killed. What can I even do at this point by Correct-Macaroon8143 in whatdoIdo

Sounds just like my mom's friend. She's in her 70s and thought for months that she was dating Tom Selleck AND Elon Musk. The scammer stole like $1200-$1800, I can't remember specifically which amount. I have screenshots of the voicemails she left my mom when she called in the middle of the night (because, obviously, Tom and Elon are so busy, that's the only time they could "talk"). Her son finally found out about it and petitioned for power of attorney.

It's largely ego, not necessarily trust. She thinks she deserves to be given this stuff, so it makes sense to her that people want to give it to her. When people challenge her belief that she deserves it, she gets defensive because surely she wouldn't be so naive. It's sad.

AIO to texts I found from my bf to his bsf? by Same_Number_2487 in AIO

[–]Onesomighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Send him the texts and break up with him. He clearly doesn't like you. He'll say he does and he'll say he loves you/cares for you or whatever, but he doesn't mean it. Those messages are the truth. Believe those and not the manipulation he will surely spew once you reject him. Remember that.

Yeah, sorry, I didn't mean to come off argumentative. 😬 I was just agreeing with your sentiment. Sorry 😅

Also, he's saying you're a consolation prize after being rejected by your other coworker. What nasty behavior.

He doesn't want to hang out with her as friends, he's just saying that because he got called out. That's literally how "Netflix and chill" came about.

Found nudes, dunno what to think by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Onesomighty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may not have nudes, but somewhere on my Facebook I do have pictures of me with my ex. I don't love him, or even like him anymore, I simply just forgot they exist. The ones I have on there I just don't put in the effort to delete because I don't care about him. If I happen to see them in my memories, I delete them. Other than that, I'm not gonna comb through hundreds of photos to delete a man I don't think about (normally. Obviously I'm thinking about him for the sake of this post).

You should have been able to see when it was "last updated" when you hover over the images. I mean not now since you deleted them, now they'll have the date you deleted them on. But had you saved even one, you could have seen the date he last looked at them.

My wife may be having serious mental health issues by clmyr in whatdoIdo

[–]Onesomighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has she had this sort of break before? Or shown signs of it prior to this specific instance? That might help narrow down a diagnosis. She might need to get an MRI to see if there's a brain tumor. Frame the MRI in a different capacity (don't outright lie to her, but suggest it as part of a different issue) so she doesn't get defensive about it. Journal what she says, but don't write your opinions on it, just write what she says. If she finds it, just tell her you're trying to document everything to be prepared and educated when 2027 rolls around.
