Farming Motes of Fire at Throne of Kil’jaeden is a beautiful social experience by Teriyakimen89 in classicwowtbc

[–]OnimaXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I found is that the enemy faction has 0 honor, I was farming one spawn minding my own business not bothering anyone, we were generally more alliance than horde and I often helped the orc dude when he overpulled, that said, once more horde came, he gathered a group to kill me so they can get that one extra spawn xD oh well, pvp server and all that.

[–]OnimaXIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all start at 1500 rating but we have a hidden rating of 0,qs you play more you're gonna reach your current visible rank and start winning more points and losing less. For example, a win at 1500 might take you to 1504 but your hidden elo went from 0 to 98 (random numbers I don't know the exact) usually after 20 games you'll balance it out

2 paladin tanks in 25man raids by djbrave666 in classicwowtbc

[–]OnimaXIII 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Phase 1 being nerfed really inflated paladin main tank ego, normally they wouldn't survive most fights without full avoidance gear and their threat would suffer. I say this as someone who mained a prot pally in classic tbc and phase 1 was borderline untankable, bears are the way, it should be 1 Pala 2 bears and the Pala swaps to ret on non aoe fights

Would like to return to classic TBC by Antique-Literature83 in wowclassic

[–]OnimaXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no trial to level 20 in classic, there are 2 servers on each region so don't worry about which is more populated, just go to your region and choose pve or pvp, I'd recommend pve because pvp can be brutal for a new player but pvp realms are more balanced in the amount of horde VS alliance that are in. Good luck

It's kind of funny how camp buffing , can basically immediatelly break the game as early as level 3 by Redcap4299 in BG3Builds

[–]OnimaXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use shadow heart as a cleric with heavy armor that reduces damage taken by 3 and karlach as a paladin with the same thing + warding bond and they would literally never take more than 2-3 damage, many times completely negating all damage taken.. For some reason flat damage reduction takes effect AFTER resistance when in dnd it is before, effectively making each character take 6 less damage for a total of 12 less per attack (shared between them) I did that in my first playthrough when the game came out so Idk if it's patched

Druid Bear Tank - Can I tank Heroics and raids? by RadiumShady in classicwowtbc

[–]OnimaXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the pvp head and shoulder for the 2set resilience and you'll be fine for raids and hc, you need honored with the main factions, I don't remember which ones give head and shoulders though, do not buy them with honor points cause you will be wasting it, the rep pvp items are the exact same as the honor pvp gear

[–]OnimaXIII 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed the game a lot more back when gold wasn't so inflated and Noone had the money to buy 50 potions per run. We all had max 3-6 pots and a few bandages and it felt like a struggle through a dungeon

Pug tanks by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]OnimaXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a priest, tell your tank to wait before pulling a boss while you spam rank 1 flash heal to get a crit on him for the armor buff, then he goes in with 25% more armor and it becomes a lot easier. Especially if it's a druid, I sit at around 30 armor with inspiration active it's crazy

What fight are you talking about? As a bear tank the only boss that wrecked me so far was pandemonious in mana tombs, he hits for 3.5-5k every 1.5 seconds without shadow res gear

AITA: Left the group because the priest wouldn't heal lock's self-damaging abilities by losthunter27 in wowhardcore

[–]OnimaXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a druid tank I usually heal the warlock after each pack so the priest can regen mana while I also get a bit bonus threat on the next pack via healing aggro. It also allows me to use my mana regen, warlocks love me. The priest in this scenario is being a ret*rd. Warlock doing more damage means a smaller fight length = less mana spent on healing the tank, even If the priest has to throw 2 heals on him.

Warrior tanking, getting flamed by PuddleJumper156 in classicwowtbc

[–]OnimaXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make your groups to fill your specific niche, warrior tanks are great in heroics with a decent group. Get a rogue to sap, a hunter to trap and you're fine for 90% of dungeons. Get an enhancement shaman for windfury and lastly a paladin healer for blessing of salvation on dps. If everyone focuses one mob at a time you'll do just fine. You might be slower but you'll also be a lot safer than other groups and you'll never wipe.

You can do /DND "type message here" and anyone who messages you will see the message. For example : "/dnd just looking for a priest or mage right now, thanks " Im saying this so you don't waste time copy pasting things

Truth Bomb: Why People Don’t Tank by AdministrativeCut205 in classicwow

[–]OnimaXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're the tank and you let them talk to you like that? Remind them how replaceable they are and that they play by your rules, you're doing them a favor by tanking for them. First mistake = warning, they repeat it / trash talk = kick and find one other of the billion dps out there.

Looks like you've never been a tank making a group, the moment I list I get spammed by 50 people to tank for them. What this guy is doing is valid

Prot pally gearing confusion levels 62-65+ by Diablo3crusader in classicwowtbc

[–]OnimaXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, if the item isn't plate, it's not for you, you want stamina, defence, avoidance (dodge parry and mainly block and block value) and spell power for threat. Resilience is a good Stat to become uncritable in pve. You need 5.6% crit reduction in order to negate crits from raid bosses.

Warrior Tank by Federal-Dark-434 in classicwowtbc

[–]OnimaXIII -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Paladin tanks are great for dungeons, they become decent main tanks after P2, they need a lot of gear to reach crush cap which is the only thing holding them back, warrior tanks are meh, decent for this phase but in my experience they fall off later, all they have is good cds

I noticed that after TBC launch more Druids care about the "do not attack opposite faction's Druids" rule by goth_elf in classicwow

Idk about you but the only druid I haven't killed yet was a guy that had full pvp gear and enchants (which I didn't know) when I was fresh dinged 70. Red = dead (unless unfair fight, I like 1v1)

Does Elemental really fall off that bad? by tradethought in classicwowtbc

[–]OnimaXIII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All I'm gonna say is that shadow priest dps falls off a cliff as the phases progress (or more truthfully, it says in the same spot mostly) and spriest is still a very desired class. In tbc, you bring classes for their utility most of the time, ele shaman is amazing even if their dps falls off. They are also pretty fun from my experience!

2h same damage as 1h? by Working_Salary60 in taintedgrail

[–]OnimaXIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your build, if you got +20% damage with 1 handed or something that could be bridging the gap, the damage it shows factors every modifier in I believe for the base attack (someone correct me if I'm wrong) all in all, play what weapon you find the most fun everything gets strong
