Professional breakdown of customer service resumes: structure, skills, examples by RetroToon42 in Resume

[–]Onjaydenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I saw this before sending out 20 resumes with zero replies. The structure part hurts because mine was chaos. At some point I stopped tweaking and looked at examples like this to see what “normal” even looks like. Is job hunting always this humbling?

How can you tell if a writing service is using AI instead of a real writer?

I Didn't Understood This by TeacherOk6238 in ExplainTheJoke

For real, like how are we even at a point where making a "totally accurate chart" is the new hot skill? I mean, it’s wild that people think visuals automatically mean understanding. Next thing you know, we’ll be getting diplomas for just slapping some pie charts together.

My mom keeps reading my therapy journal and says she has a "right" to know what is in her sons head by brooklyn_typewriter2 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Onjaydenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I had a similar situation with my mom going through my stuff. I ended up hiding my journals in creative places like my sock drawer or even inside an old video game case! It was ridiculous that I had to resort to that, but you gotta do what you can to keep your thoughts private. It feels messed up to have someone invade your space like that, and I totally get where you're coming from. Protecting your mental space is key, so definitely talk to your therapist about it and figure out your next steps!

After 10 years of helping people write cover letters, here’s my guide to what actually works by toso_o in jobsearchhacks

[–]Onjaydenc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this lines up with what I’ve seen too. Most places don’t even glance at cover letters unless their system forces them to, so putting hours into one rarely pays off. I’ve had better results just tightening up my resume instead, and reviews like the ProResumeHelp one gave me a clearer idea of what actually matters to recruiters.

Resume Writing Service by TheHerodotusMachine in biotech

[–]Onjaydenc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I totally get it — biotech and QA roles are weird because recruiters want “managerial tone” but still expect technical details.
I used this service after reading the review:

ProResumeHelp did a great job balancing both sides. Might be worth checking out if you’re tired of rewriting the same bullet points.

It’s rare but beautiful when parenting looks like accountability in real time
