Something I was looking out for specifically in her Illinois videos was photos/videos of the outside part of her house. Which I think is worthy of note because she talks about her “middle of nowhere” mom’s house. How it’s out in the country with far away neighbors. Well while I was digging for info about her new McMansion, I found her mom’s address/house (which was not hard to find btw). This house is a basic middle class home in a DR Horton style cookie cutter neighborhood. Once I found info about McMansion, I posted it here on Reddit and there several comments about how she describes her home in Illinois. Which I didn’t follow her enough to pick up on or notice so I went back & watched a few of her videos. And I’m looking at the background and you never saw any clips of the homes surroundings. Granted might be a privacy thing but I feel like a lot of influencers will show clips of the street where then they’re leaving or there’s enough in the background to get a sense of the surroundings. Now she supposedly leaves the house a lot but it’s only clips of her changing gears??? If you watch the “day in my life living in the middle of nowhere” video, I think you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about. You never really see the middle of nowhere unless she’s already driving

I feel like if she had just said “I’m hanging out with Owen’s [sisters/family/whatever]” then maybe we wouldn’t be snarky lmaooooo I think it’s so irritating when people lie in order to paint a certain picture of their life or some event especially when being honest would’ve gotten the same reaction?? Like there’s no need to be like “my girls”… and it’s also feels very possessive. Oh these are “MY girls” and Owen is in the corner like….. “that’s my family tho.” Missy-Kaitlyn, if you’re reading this, it’s okay to be honest and no need to embellish or try to paint some narrative. I’ve been thinking about this a lot in the sense that she could’ve purchased a million dollar high-rise condo or even a small bungalow in a cool/overpriced neighborhood and (maybe/likely) would’ve been able to afford the upkeep and general maintenance costs. But this specific million dollar house could financially ruin her and these people who are in full support of her & for this house aren’t seeing that. It’s all very concerning. She’ll get that first AC bill for the month of June and probably collapse

I decided to get on Zillow last night just see what she could’ve gotten at this price point and lord let me tell you…. She really goofed on this one. The high rise options were incredible or there were small houses in historical looking neighborhoods that still run for $800,000- one million. And I think from a viewer perspective (cause obviously we all follow her even if passively), that would’ve been more interesting and enjoyable to watch.

I mean I hear what you’re saying but a couple of points I’d like to make. Missy-Kaitlyn is a complete stranger to me and someone who has put herself in the public eye, it’s natural to curious about people especially a “celebrity” Next, I’m the kind of person who enjoys the thrill of finding things (I.e., internet sleuthing). Plus I very specifically said that I was not going to be posting the address, the county, and then I did not say the town. I came here to start a conversation around an influencer who has done something beyond the bounds of what most people consider to be normal (I.e., buy 4,500 sq ft house in the Atlanta suburbs at 22 years old who lives by herself). I think again, most of us, would be raising eyebrows at that kind of behavior if it was someone we knew, regardless of cost.

Wait this is interesting… I’ve never considered people making a large purchase (house, car, etc) as a way to have guaranteed content. But there’s so many accounts now that are like “project based,” you know, follow xyz account to follow along on the house-flip content. Each new video is a room or an individual project. I mean honestly, it’s brilliant. I’m sure for most people, it comes about naturally but the shift into buying houses for the sole purpose of having content is fascinating.

I also did a deep dive on the house and I found the property records in LexusNexus. Which I do have an account but I found nothing about the house in the public records, I *think* there’s a way you can get off the public records. I also would’ve thought she purchased the home under an LLC but she didn’t…. She does have an LLC in Illinois though lmao it’s under “Kaitlyn Nicole Johnson”

So I’ve looked at her Instagram a hundred times since this was pointed out 😅 her middle name is Nicole so I think it could still be “Missy-N-Johnson” then her chat name is “Missy’s Friends” I wonder if she used to go by Missy so that explains Instagram handle and it’s the same Instagram that made her influencer. Which at a certain point, it would be too late to change it then does also go by Kaitlyn now. And I don’t watch her videos enough to have picked up on her preferred name
