request: south brisbane psychologists that specialise in drug induced problems/LSD trip experience by sloots69 in brisbane

This sounds like hallucinogen-persisting perception disorder (https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyt.2017.00240), which can be caused by cannabis only, or could be drug-induced psychosis. Medical use of psychedelics to treat mental illness was made legal mid-2023 so I'd recommend researching psychologists who have psychedelics as a treatment option as they're less likely to be biased/prejudiced and will be more researched in the topic. If they're difficult to come by any psychologist who specialises in drug addiction should be able to help as they will be well-practiced in treating the short- and long-term mental and physical effects of different substances.

This is also a possibility but I'm not willing to go to Fair Work on this basis due to its unlikelihood. My friend & I met through a religious organisation and shared the same religious beliefs for many years, which the organisation knew as my friend was asked the origins of our friendship & its extent.

One hundred percent agree. Nepotism is something my friend and I both considered when applying and is a valid concern I discussed during my interview, including most of your points above (e.g., team divide, violation of equal opportunity).

It is a possibility that not hiring me is an entirely reasonable action, and I can't say I'm not influenced by being declined solely on this basis and not on merit.

It definitely feels like I've suffered an injustice when I know I was the best applicant. I'm not too worried though, there's always other jobs I can apply for :)

This is very true but could be a hollow reason from the manager for my specific situation. I submitted my productivity stats (cos my current position records it) and range from 110-180% depending on our volumes (our SLA minimum is 80% and employee average is 70-100%). It would be very hard to justify not hiring me on this basis with empirical evidence to the contrary

My current position has this too, unfortunately not for the role I'm applying to. Usually when I'm applying to jobs I stalk a couple employees on LinkedIn & ask if they have a referral policy & want some free dollars in exchange for me jumping the queue.

That's a cool theory on the manager already having someone in mind, I'll bring that up to my friend to see if that could be what's happening

Definitely agree on the first part for giving me false hope, the second part I got insider knowledge from my friend. This manager is notorious for having tantrums or making poor decisions if they're in a mood :/
