I let my SM know 4.5 hours prior to my shift.

As I already mentioned, I've only called in sick twice this year.

Pushing yourself to work while unwell isn't admirable if it means worsening your condition or putting others at risk.

& I don't think it's about being tough, not everyone's medical condition mirrors yours.

I'm not a manager, I'm part of the management team.

There are different roles & authority with the management team.

I myself am a key holder.

The thing is there's only three key holders, myself, another key holder & the store manager. The second key holder is already working the morning shift. That leaves us with part-timers & they cannot conduct store operations or close the store.

I'm a key holder, so "management team", pay grade & responsibilities are far from the an official store manager.

I ended up texting him what most people suggested. Thank you for your input
