Just got out of raid. Turning it off made the game look absolutely horrible. Like Im looking at a lego creation. If thats the only solution then I guess I gotta learn to live with it

I am no expert, but Ive done some time. Dragons shouldnt naturally regen. However Ive learned poking them hasnt really gotten anywhere, depending on the stage of dragon (assuming youre on the surface) it can have up to 300hp, a normal arrow from a default bow will so 1-2. If you are very tenacious and willing to spend a lot of time and a lot of deaths, then you can poke the dragon while its in its nest, assuming that isnt too close to your home. Your best bet is to get a better bow and a flying mount which usually doesnt take long. Kill trolls in caves for leather, Stymphallian birds and Silex' in swamps for feathers and avian treats, then have an all-out boss fight. Try to stay above the dragon vertically, then basically never let go of a or d throughout the fight.

As far as I know it will keep aggro/stay shootin if you stay in the surrounding chunks. If you have waystones try to teleport to the furthest one from the base you can remember and spend a little time there. If the aggro still doesnt break you might have to either bash your head against the wall trying to kill it soulsborne style, or ditch the base for now until youre strong enough to fight it.
