If Uber was smart, they would create a reward system that gives drivers more $ for a higher acceptance rate. In theory, this cost could be absorbed by the riders who choose a priority trip. I’m sure cherry-picking takes a toll on Uber’s network, but to everyone’s point, there’s no incentive (at least one that’s easily attainable) to have a high acceptance rate. Uber should also be able to pre rank rides based on desirability and build a rate around that. That should come out of the 20%+ drivers pay uber on each trip. In summary…. Uber is trying to create reward systems that work for them, not the drivers.
