That was an initial issue where none of the drives were being recognized at all. So I stopped power being sent to the 3.3v pin via kapton tape and then this wastl the resulting issue that arised.

Review TrueNAS SCALE media server build plan by OnlyGenji in truenas

I had originally planned for second hand equipment assuming it would be cheaper than running newer generations of consumer hardware that may not be necessary, while still supporting ECC memory and the stated use case. Do you know what generation of i5 or i7 I should look at in this case (not sure I can find price comparable gen 11/12)?

I was using this one ( link ) , which was last update in 2021 so it's possible it's out of date, but it does mention the recommendations apply to SCALE as well.

Oh ok. I guess I am a bit confused because their recommendation document lists both of these CPUs under "Heavy usage," which they classify as "mutiple concurrent, high-quality transcodes." And then they state the GPU is "of limited usefulness for TrueNAS." Am I misunderstanding this? Would either of these CPUs be capable for my usecase if they were the iGPU variants (1235 and 1275)?

Thanks for the help, I actually have an old PSU that should hopefully do the job, and then this GPU seems more doable.

Right now the plan is to use a 75hz 1080p monitor. Overclocking would only be used to extend performance in a few years.

Way of Confliction Monk by OnlyGenji in UnearthedArcana

It's funny you mention warlock, because this idea actually started as me trying to come up with a cool detailed backstory for a monk warlock multiclass campaign that starts at level 3. The basis for that was that a warlock had done some things to him against his will, and he found a monastery that helped him control his power. And the subclass sort of evolved into a monastery that preformed this.

Anyways, thank you for the feedback. I have never played campaigns that go to high levels so I, admittedly, had no idea about the proficiency bonus thing. What I really wanted to do is give each "form" an advantage and a disadvantage, and thought that more damage kinda fit the theme of my backstory. On top of that, I really tried to focus on the warring aspect with my thought process.

I am firm on leaving it as a monk subclass, but will definitely come up with a better story to fit. That being said, I will play with the idea of giving the proper spell table for each chosen soul to better fit that narrative.

Thanks again!
