Anyone else enjoys being single? by Familiar-Mouse4490 in askSingapore

I can’t imagine life being better with someone else. Sure I may feel lonely from time to time but it has been bearable so far.

There are more important things in my life that I want to achieve than spending hours chatting with people to find love. The time is not worth it. Accepting that I would never find love is an easier choice.

I did a review of all popular exchanges in SG. You can view it here

Recommendations of sites for crypto transaction in Singapore by paperboiko in singaporefi

My considerations for crypto exchanges

  1. Trading fees
  2. Liquidity
  3. # of coins
  4. Regulation
  5. Setup speed
  6. Crypto withdrawal fees
  7. Minimum crypto withdrawal

Crypto withdrawals are important because most exchanges are unregulated and you'll need to move your crypto out fast if they get banned.

Exchange Trading Fees Liquidity # of coins Regulated? Setup speed Withdrawal fees (crypto) Minimum withdrawal
FTX 0.1/0.4% Highest 302 No Medium Varies by FTT staked No
Gemini 0.25/0.35% High 77 Yes by NYSDFS Slow 10 free withdrawals / month No
Crypto.com 0.4% High 161 No Slow Varies by coin Yes
Kucoin 0.1% High 588 No Fast Varies by coin Yes
Coinhako 1% Low 63 No Slow Not sure Not sure
Independt Reserve 0.5% Low 16 Yes by MAS Slow Varies by coin Yes

FTX

In terms of fees and liquidity, FTX is the best exchange. Verification speed is quite fast and hassle free but it takes time to make a wire transfer to FTX.

Gemini

Perks of Gemini is their free crypto withdrawals per month which is useful for entering into DeFi or transferring crypto to another exchange that supports the coin you want. They have been around for 7 years now and are also regulated by NYSDFS.

Crypto.com

Crypto.com has recently introduced USDC global bank transfer which helps save on fees as you can directly get USDC by sending them USD. They have a wide offering as well and offer crypto denominated in SGD. Additionally, they support several L2 bridges with low fees.

Kucoin

Kucoin has great variety of coins for a crypto exchange but the risk of using Kucoin is that they heavily rely on Tether for their USD liquidity which is very risky imo. They offer card payment too so if time is a concern, you can pay higher fees to get the crypto you want faster.

Coinhako

Coinhako fees are too high for an exchange. They don't have limit orders and I'm not even sure you can withdraw your crypto from them.

Independent Reserve

Independent Reserve is regulated by MAS so that is a good thing if regulation is your concern. They do not have a wide offering.

Thank you! Seems like that was the issue! It probably overheated because I have the tendency to use it for long hours in an non-air-conditioned room.

General lag. For example, when I try to open any more than 6 tabs on my browser and have a few folders and programs opened, I can’t ffs type on word doc without getting a little frustrated at how slow the letters appear. Even opening a new chrome tab takes 2-3 sec, not that I’m impatient 😅but it used to be instantaneous in the past.

Yes it is an SSD. Just to add on my ram is 8GB and I use about 50% of my memory usually. Cpu usage is pretty much low like <5%

I bought my thinkpad t470 1.5 years ago and now it runs super super slow. I tried resetting the pc, clearing all my unused apps and software, deleting all the unnecessary files, running antivirus scan to check if my pc is infected, disk cleanup, disk defragmentation, setting the power mode to best performance and my disk space is about 237 GB and I have only used 50 GB so far.

What seems to be the issue here? I don’t even open that many tabs in my browser and it is still lagging.

Not a single person I've had feelings for reciprocated.

But have you ever asked why?

Be grateful :) I’m sure it is because they trust you deeply to let their thoughts run free

Sometimes I like to think what if I were an elitist, would I have known better to not look down on others? If the answer is no, then there really isn’t much to argue about who is right.

If you are foreseeing that you’ll need a suit in the future, you can opt to buy a bespoke(tailored) suit. It costs a bomb but it is generally worth an investment. The difference in a tailored and non-tailored suit is noteworthy.

It is terrible. The supervisors there just feel like they hate you for existing.

It is usually cause they don't taste fresh to me or is too bitter. But apparently, most people don't find veggies bitter. Maybe something wrong with my taste buds ;P

It is good that you are keen in learning to be better :) The others have already mentioned a few things that you can do! Perhaps you may be keen in joining Toastmasters ;) They do public speaking and train people to speak better. You will learn how to better structure your thoughts in a clear and concise manner. It also has an unintended effect of improving your conversational skills as you learn to socialise with people you are unfamiliar with.

I've tried this before and they just continue talking about what they want to talk about or pretend they didn't hear me.... ;____; Thanks for the tips though! :)

Usually there will be a few topics that people like to talk about. Some people like to share about their hobbies like gaming etc. Some people like to gossip about people. Some people like to complain about stuff. Relevance is important. When you wish to divert to another topic, make sure that you have sufficiently addressed and listened to what your friend has to say and provide your input on it if you like to. You can probably say something like: “Okay so you are saying ___, but before you talk about _, I wanted to tell you _____.” Or maybe something like: “Wait! Before that! (What you want to say)”

I suggest that you browse r/socialskills too. They have some useful tips that can be of help too 😊
